i used to think they sucked, for about 2 minutes. download:

I'm not a fan of Coheed. First off, I really don't like sci fi concept albums. The lyrics just seem like bullshit being spit out to make up for the lack of ability to write something good. That's not my reason for disliking Choeed, because I do listen to a few concept bands. The music is too dry in my opinion, however I'll admit they are a talented group of musicians.

I'm not a fan. His voice just doesn't sit well for me. I think they have talent, there's no doubt about that. I'm also a big fan of the concept albums. However his voice still makes me want to jab a knife in my ear.

if you hate him because of his voice, i garuntee you can be converted. i was scared when i heard my first coheed song ("time consumer"). i had to goto the site to see if they had any girls in their band. i was like "no fucking way". but i was easily changed after a few more listens. listen to the songs i listed above. his voice isnt that bad in those.

I think Co&Ca are awesome. A really different band. You can't question their musical talent that's for sure, and I enjoy the lyrics. They are both interesting in the fact they tell a story, but most songs are also not so far-fetched that people can still relate.

Took me a couple of listens to warm to them and for claudios voice to stop making me feel unsettled, but then i realised that his voice really is quite good and suits the style of music really well, and that the music is fantastic! Technically it sounds just great. I just really enjoy them now. My advice: Give them another go.

Ok I really dont understand what the huge hype is about them. The singer has the most annoying voice I have ever heard. Plus he looks like a baboon. He really needs to cut his hair. I would like to hear what people think makes them so great. I just do not understand!

i felt that way too. i'd hear him on the radio or wherever and it would upset me greatly. now though...after hearing a few songs a bunch of times, his voice is growing on me. it suites the music that they play. his voice is the kind that you just need to get used to. they band itself is nothing spectacular, but they're not that bad.

Yah personally I don't know why so many people like them. I mean the front man's voice is unbearable and horrible sounding. The sound is much different or all that unique to me. I'll give them one thing, some parts of their songs they know how to play their instruments. Overall though personally I think they're not as good as so many people think.

I can understand you if you can't take claudio's voice but they're better than most of stuff shilled on this site and countless cookie cutter poppy-punk bands. Take it in small doses and go from there. I don't listen to them very often but they're a very talented prog-rock band.

they were great the first time i saw them
the next time, they sucked.
the third time, i'm pretty sure claudio was on acid.

most people I've talked to agree that their live show is going downhill. claudio doesn't even try to hit the notes anymore
