This weeks recommendations for me may not be a surprise because you probably have already heard it, but here's my two cents anyways.
Recover's new album "This May Be The Year I Disappear," is one record that I must say will be at the top of my list for albums of the year. The only thing that I don't like about it is some of the lyrics...if you've heard the album, you'll know what I mean. Other than that, solid album, you can't not agree.
Rick Astley - You know this guy is a legend, and you all know you are secretly thinking "yeah, this guy is my big time guilty pleasure!"
Bellmore - "The History of Things To Come": This CT band, yes, may in fact be my brothers band, but in so many years, I have not heard a CT band that has come close to the amount of talent in this band. If you're a fan of good Rock songs, or fans of bands such as Audioslave, Cave In, or Foo Fighters, def give them a listen, and see for yourself. (http://www.purevolume.com/bellmore)
Copeland - "Know Nothing Stays the Same": Like covers? Good covers? of past great songs that you probably forgot about but still can say, "Damn, I remember this song, such a good song!" Well, Copeland took noticed, put their little twist in Copeland fashion, and give you a GREAT E.P. Now, only if Copeland's next Full-Length can be released tomorrow...
