I would bet that over half of those dont come out when they are saying they will and the other half wont come out in 2005 at all. Labels have a tendancy to jump the gun on when albums will be released. Today it was reported that Alkaline Trio is entering the studio soon to begin recording, if thats true then there is no way it will be out by April, more like early to mid summer. I always like to give bands a good 5 or 6 months from the time they start recording to the time the album gets released.

There are a few exceptions though.

Capricorn didn't have a problem when it came to appreciation.

Actually it is only their 8th Studio full length major label release.

11th album if you count "Greatest Hits", "311 Live", and "Omaha Sessions".

18th release in any form if you count early recordings "Dammit", "Hydroponic", and "Unity"(good luck getting ahold of those)....and their 3 DVD releases.

But to summarize I agree...you cant deny that. Unless you are a naysayer. And you know their stance on those.

I'm glad you boosted your ego by going to amazon.com and counting up all the 311 albums. there's no point in showing someone up like that. ridiculous.

The Junior Varsity/TBA (Victory/Spring 2005)
& The Junior Varsity/The Great Compromise (British/Spring 2005)

(yes we know the great compromise has been available online for some time, but british is apparently now going to put it in stores and actually really try to sell this album.)

So the JV with two releases this spring! How awesome!

Showing up? Grabbing my cd collection is not very difficult. Although Amazon would have been quicker they don't have the first three 311 releases you can't find them anymore. Also Omaha Sessions is only available in Nebraska at Homers record stores....but going to Amazon.com now I just realized there are about 29 releases counting imports so guess im the one being 'showed up'.

I live in Nebraska we have so very little to boast about and even though they haven't lived here since they released a major label record in '93 we hang on to that so very pathetic like. I was honestly just trying to point out that there were that many records out to someone who enjoys the band and may not be aware of them. Guess my trying to help may have came across as condescending so Ill just lurk again.

I've bragged about living blocks away from the Saddle Creek records recording studio "Presto!" but no one cared about that.

My ego has now been thoroughly backhanded by your reply.
