Two Questions:

1. What did you write about on your personal essay? I'm in the process of working on the Common App, and I have no idea what to write about. Any suggestions?

2. If I'm applying to a college that only requires one teacher recommendation/evaluation, is it ok if I give them two, or does it make me look bad?

ahh the common app. by far the worst website I have ever used. but anyway for my common app essay i wrote about how i fell in love with the german language and wish to pursue it in college and as a second one i wrote about Brand New's limousine. But my advice is write something you feel completely comfortable about, something you relate to, and most importantly, something that will distinguish you from all other applicant. Maybe you have a personal experience in your life you could write about, or something more creative. Someone i know actually wrote his essay on which tie he would pick to wear to school.
