H20 (www.h2ogo.com) will have Autopilot Off (www.autopilotoff.com) perform at their ten year anniversary show at The Knitting Factory in New York City on December 30th.

I heard Hazen St. is going to play too... unforunately they aren't very good. Madball should play instead.

Whatever Happened To Both Of These Bands?
H20 sold their souls and started sucking at the same time, then became involved in side projects that put new meaning to the word 'suck'
APO just never really wrote anything that good or catchy and will probably forever be known as 'that one opening band'
I hope I've helped you, Mr Sky.
yeah why is auto pilot playing a anniversary show for one of the greatest NYC hardcore bands off all time? shouldn't i don't know... anybody else play instead, i dunno a hardcore band perhaps? esp. considering how often toby talks about how new music sucks?

actually autopilot off writes some ridiculously catchy music, at least thats my opinion anyway. i agree that they havent really gone past the 'opening band' part of their careers though, they need to step it up with the next album if they ever want to have their own tour or something like that.

autopilot off needs to get a little more label backing. i could definitely see make a sound blowing up on mtv2/fuse and perhaps getting some radio play. and as for H2O, they haven't been any good for like 5 years.

I agree with that, but I don't think it's the band's fault that they haven't gotten past the "opening band" stage, I think it's the label's fault with not promoting them enough.

A little more backing? Aren't they on Island?

A little more backing? Aren't they on Island? Yea, but Island doesn't do much for them. Letter Kills are on Island too and they're also known as "that opening band".

there's already enough bands that sound like Autopilot Off and Letter Kills. why do we need more? Island is doing everyone a favor by not pushing their music into the mainstream.

there were some halfway catchy songs on the ep, but i was really dissapointed with the full legnth. it wasn't that it was bad, it was just painfully mediocre, and i guess i expected they would have potential from hearing the ep. i dunno. i mean honestly, what song would make a good catchy single from the full legnth?

you can not blame a label for that. if they worked hard enough, toured hard enough and did something to stand out they wouldnt need label promotion. underground bands have been doing it themselves and getting popular for years.

I agree, the album wasnt as good as everyone probably thought it would be....I still really like it, but I'm also biased, so that doesn't really count. But musically, it IS mediocre, but I still think most of the songs are catchy as hell. Only problem is, alot of them sound the same. I just think they need to get a little more diversity in their music to get past their 'opening band' title, because they're already pretty solid...they just need something fresh. As for the good catchy single question, I'd probably go with Clockwork...the song is better than most 'pop-punk' stuff that's out on radio or tv right now, so I bet they could do fairly well with that.
