This is going to be kind of divided up wierd because there are different possible answers. How hard you work on Mixtapes, and how often you make them?

NOTE: I have an "Other" answer, but only use that one of all the other choices are WAY off. If a choice is close to you're answer, just put that choice and you can explain it in a post.

All the time. Probably 2 or 3 times a week. I always get new music, and I usually get a few songs that I like, so I have to burn a cd. And then I just throw on some other songs that I've been listening to alot at the time, and maybe even a few of my all time favorites.

There are weeks where I make a mix every day. I'm obsessed with my mixes. I also spend a lot of time on them. If I'm working on a tracklisting, and I don't feel good about a few tracks, I usually trash the entire mix. But I think that's just one of my problems (I don't stay focused on anything, except conversations with people I care about.).

I used to make em all the time but CDs got so damn expensive and besides I mostly listen to my music on my computer and I'm getting an Ipod for Christmas. But I will make them for friends.

i take quite a lot in to whats going to go on to my mix tape so i take about a month listening to the songs then compile it all in my head which takes a bit under a month, but if i'm making one for my friend it can take about a month and a half

woah, i thought this was regarding mixTAPES. mix cds are an entirely different animal. i can slap together a mix cd in 5 minutes. a mix tape requires atleast an hour or two.

I didn't know that people still made mixtapes... I know I haven't made one for years.

I've never made a mixTAPE, either.

Honestly, I don't even know how.

I make a lot of mix CDs, though.

I put really random collections of songs on almost all of them, depending on how I feel at time time. I do sometimes make "all time favorite" types, as well.

I like making them, but they take me a lot of time.

it takes quite a while for me to make a mix cd because I don't just put random songs on them. well the ones I make for my friends at least.

I dont really make mixes, but I've been meaning to ask for a while, does anyone still actually use tapes? or when you say that do you really mean CD, or playlist on your computer or something?

I haven't made a mixtape since my stereo stopped playing half the CDs I own, making it impossible to put them on a tape. I make mix CDs once every few weeks, or if I'm feeling really bored.

well, mixtapes are more personal cause you put alot more into them. i dont know if anyone ever makes mixtapes for themselves, you make mixtapes for a friend. its one of those, its the thought that counts kind of gifts. yup.

Haha I used to, I'd listen to the radio, hit record when a quality song came on, then once the tape was full, I was good for a few weeks. Keep in mind this was the early/mid-90s and I was like 10 or so.
