Gotta be IARB. Such a fantastic album from start to finish. Not one moment I get bored at all.

IARB for me, deffo. Max was at an awesome level of pretension which created some of the best music ever written to a disc. The new album, to me, shouts "Hey, I can get places with my cockiness, lets turn it up a notch!!"

I can't stand In Defense. Just personal preference though. IARB gets my vote.

This should be more one sided than a Brand New poll.

I don't skip around on IARB.
I DO skip around on IDOTG because 2/3 of the tracks are stupid.
Just cause you wrote 27 songs doesn't mean they should all go on your next record.

Is A Real Boy...
I am surprised that it's not closer though, considering the reception of IDOTG among users on this site
As much as I like In Defense of the Genre, I Love ... Is A Real Boy.
IDOTG has a few songs that- if they weren't on the record, I wouldn't mind. Where as I can't listen to ...Is A Real Boy without hearing Belt first and Admit It last.

while i love both, max seems so much more intellectual and disturbed on IARB. the new one was a tad to reliant on his insane, wandering side.
IARB FTW

I love IDOTG, and it will always be one of my favorite records, so thats what I voted for.

I couldn't see why you'd vote for In Defense....
Even if it was a single disc of the best songs on the album, it'd still be behind ... Is A Real Boy.
As much as I love IDOTG, songs like spidersong and woe are too awesome.

I enjoy more songs on IDOTG, so I went with that.
This argument has been done so many times.

If IARB didn't have "Alive With the Glory of Love," I'd likely go with IDOTG...but the cd which hosts my favorite song must get the vote.

Two wonderful albums. IARB is a classic though.
IARB by far. i still think IDOTG would have been much better as just one album.

i love both, but IARB gets it.

i love all except four songs off of idotg. i probably havent spent enough time with iarb, but i really don't understand why iarb is winning by so much. i personally think the ratio of filler songs on iarb is greater.

Definitely IARB. IDOTG was cool but had some mad filler.

IARB is the classic and the better album hands down but IDOTG is underrated and also a great album...too many people dismiss it `cuz it dosen`t sound like IARB and they are missing out on another great album. a different experince but also a very exciting one.
