At my school, everyday begins the exact same way. We listen to announcements and then Channel One begins. For those who don't know what it is: It is a news program that gets sent to a ton of schools throughout the country. It is only like 15 min. long or so. Well, it is extremely stupid.
The 'news journalists or anchors' are extremely annoying, and are horrible. With the exception of a few good anchors, including mtv and et's Maria Menunos, they are all awful. Last week they aired their shows from 5 different schools in the country. Let's just say it was embarrassing to watch it.

I had to watch this when we were in home room. It was basically background music to our euchre games. Although it was fun to be able to ogle Maria Menunous (and for the girls Derrick). They did have some interesting stories every now and then (Kashmir was one I remember).

they have some decent stories but the people on it are just annoying to me. i rarely watch it but it plays in the background of my online game time.

"all request thursdays" = you vote on your favorite songs so channel one can play 3 seconds of them entering and leaving commercials. 3 seconds is being generous too.

wow Channel One. I totally forgot about that. I graduated about 2 and a half years ago...and totally forgot all about that. Yeah we watched that everyday in homeroom. It was gay cuse for the 20 minutes, we had to sit there and be quiet for channel one and than all the damn announcments. but yeah we had that...

the only part of channel one i like is the quiz at the end. the questions are usually really easy and it boosts my self esteem when i get them right.
