I have been getting into slower, melow, acoustic stuff... like Copeland, Dashboard, Secondhand Serenade, Mae, Spill Canvas, etc.... any others out there that stick out?

If you're into the mellower stuff, Nick Drake, Iron & Wine, Will Oldham, Leonard Cohen, etc.

I've always noticed his CDs in my store because his album covers are pretty amusing.

O God, are you actually checking out any of these artists? I find that a lot of times, people feel overwhelmed when given a lot at one time and end up not checking out any of them at all...jw.
