they'd make more than enough money to get that ICP tattoo their drummer has covered up.

Seems like a legitimate reason to have a reunion show to me.

it's the most legit reason i've heard since christie front drive reunited just so their singer could wear a sweat covered LA raiders shirt in the middle of denver without pissing off a bunch of football fans.
yeah... my band had a show lined up to play with them then.. 2 weeks before the show they broke up. fucking sucked. I did get to see their 3rd to last show show. that was awesome.

Wouldn't care for either reunion but only because I really don't care that much for the Get Up Kids or Bear vs. Shark, although they had that one song that was sweet.

Bear Vs. Shark is awesome.
I would love to see the Get Up Kids. I got into them a while after the broke up, which sucks.
I've never really listened to BVS.

QFT. Don't be picky when respectable and great bands decide to get back together.

BVS has scenester fans now? Amazing..
This is new to you? One of their final tours was with Fall of Troy and fear Before the March of Flames. How can being on that tour not bring in the scenester bullshit?
oh, and speaking of the get up kids, i get to see matt pyror tomorrow.

Bear Vs. Shark, shitty and overrated? Your childhood might've been bad, but it couldn't have been so bad that you're still looking for attention.

think about it... a band that lasted four years being jocked so much post their 3 year break up. They had 2 albums and an EP half their fanbase has heard of (and the EP is fucking awful anyway). The albums are good. They toured, people that saw them, saw them. If you missed out, you missed out. The band has since been dead and buried and every member has seen to shown they really dont care about music full time since 2005. It's kind of funny I think even the band would laugh at you if you still consider Bear Vs Shark relevant. I love the band, but how can one put on their albums and say this stuff is awesome when I could name 50 bands currently doing that style better and countless bands before them doing that same style better. I'd rather support the bands working hard. I don't know, just me.

Saw them in a house w/ Coheed and Cambria like 5 years ago maybe. Only time I ever saw them, probably wouldn't go to a reunion due to the fucks that would attend.

if Bear Vs Shark had a reunion Fear Before would probably play. NOT FEAR BEFORE THE MARCH OF FLAMES... they are just called Fear Before now. They grew up and got too cool for their white belts, needed the name change post the ginger drummer.

Hahah I was laughing so hard at that story on lambgoat.
We needed to live up to a fuckin funny name, now we're 20 so it's time to mature.

back then long names were trendy and the cool thing to do...
to stay relevant in 2008, band names two words or shorter is now the cool thing to do...
to stay in touch with trends, we must change our name to fear before and march on!

I was hoping they were going to change their name to some italian/french shit and become crucial skramz.

they're playing here on sunday, i wonder if whoever booked the show cares that their fliers are obsolete.
oh wait. the club they're playing in isn't finished yet. springfield is ridiculous.

think about these lineups for a second (relevant to the thread title too)
FIRST Dudestorm Tour 2005 lineup- Fear Before the March of Flames, Sincebyman, Bear Vs Shark, The Fall of Troy
SECOND Dudestorm Tour 2008 (3 years later) - FEAR BEFORE (no more March of Flames part), I Am the Ocean (who the fuck is this band?), Damiera, Exotic Animal Petting Zoo (again? who in the fuck are these bands?)
either I am getting old, or too ugly and overweight to wear girls jeans and keep up with these trendy named bands. But I do remember going into the first dudestorm tour saying I actually like Sincebyman and Bear Vs Shark, 3 years later I think not only has the music gotten worse... but so has the kids that support it.
Maybe I'm wrong?

well when you are playing in a 100 different other bands i doubt anyone would care. Sincebyman spawns like 10 bands, I know Get Rad is one of them, and I know one of the dudes is a touring guitarist for Poison the Well (lol)
Sincebymans final show vinyl out of 135 is like on sale for five bucks still, they can't even give those records away. Nobody cares, it's a shame really. That band was going to tour with Underoath too. Then again, These Arms Are Snakes even opened for Underoath so...
Best Sincebyman story was when they were on tour with Lords and Daughters and during the Daughters set there was probably like 10 kids in the audience, dude from Lords comes out on stage and pisses in Alexi of Daughters hands as he then throws the piss from his hands at the 10 kids in attendance, fast forward to Dudefest 2008 the dude now in Get Rad is still complaining about having piss thrown on him from when he was in Sincebyman. Moral of the story: Lords is a great band.

I had to do something similar when Bear Vs Shark came through only the western side of PA with Curl Up and Die and Horse the Band.
I drove across state by myself I had no fucking clue what was what.. I think I was 16 or 17 at the time too. Now I would be too fucking lazy and old to even attempt it.

LOL Poison The Well. Their guitar player was an original member of Curl Up and Die so he played w/ them at the last show. Probably realized what a ****** he had become. Hopefully no longer lives.

the first time i missed them, i didn't have a car and my friend was going to take me and bailed at the last minute. if i had a car back then, i would have gone the hour and a half by myself. the second time people just didn't tell me they were playing, went and bragged about it, but i guess karma got them back since they were all huge planes mistaken for stars fans and they missed then while i didn't.
this fear before show here this week is going to be funny because i'm pretty sure the building the club is in was condemned and it's ran by a bunch of 18 year olds who i'm sure don't know how to fix the electrical problems the building probably has.
