Here are the bands i've been enjoying this week:
Ted Leo & The Pharmacists (http://www.tedleo.com) - The new album, Shake The Sheets, is as addictive as coke. Go pick up this album right away and you will be dancing around in the car on the way home. It's great.
Jupiter Sunrise (http://www.purevolume.com/jupitersunrise) - I found out about this band randomly on pureVOLUME (http://www.purevolume.com) and I cannot stop listening to them. Very catchy, upbeat indie/pop.
Camren (http://www.purevolume.com/camren) - Another band I found randomly on pureVOLUME (http://www.purevolume.com), about six months ago. Very good piano rock.
The Stiletto Formal (http://www.purevolume.com/thestilettoformal) - This band is SEX. I LOVE THIS BAND! They are a six piece out of Phoenix. They are like Murder By Death (http://www.murderbydeath.com/) meets Thursday (http://www.islandrecords.com/thursday/). They've got another song on their site (http://www.thestilettoformal.com) that you should check out as well called "This Song Can't Be About Blowing Stuff Up Because Of Terrorism" that you should also check out.
Also, i've decided that since I watch more movies in a week than most people do in a month, i'll give a weekly movie recommendation as well. For this week, i'm suggesting everyone go see Kinsey. Despite the extreme sexual content, it's an amazing Oscar quality film. GO SEE IT!
