Thomas Friedman's Capitalism and Freedom might be the most ridiculous and hilarious thing I've read lately. The way rich people in capitalistic society preserve freedom is by being patriarchal.

I do have to lol at how self-contradicting the guy is - at first, belief in negative human essence becomes part of the flaw of modern liberalism. But then humans having a negative human essence becomes the justification for anarchy not being a possiblity. Within 5 pages of each other, too.
