This week I recommend:

This Day & Age - Check these guys out on 111 Records. They have a great sound that I think AP.net said it first with "Listen to this band if you're a fan of Copeland, but just wished they rocked out more." Your request is answered with this great band. They'll be on tour with the Spill Canvas starting next week, so make sure you go check them out.

Mighty Purple - If you're a fan of This Day & Age, you might want to check out this hardworking local CT band who has been at it for over 10 years. They've had their ups and downs, but have succeeded with their latest album "Preferables."

Keane - he first time I heard this album, I wasn't to thrilled on the sound. However, after giving a couple of listens, this band is now at the top of my "current" list of recommendations. They have some great catchy parts, and if you like bands like Coldplay, or Snow Patrol, make sure you listen to them.

Lovedrug - I got the chance to check these guys out earlier this week with Piebald, and the MIlitia Group is at it again with this one. There's not a whole lot to say about them, other than if you want a good listen while just hanging around wasting some time with yourself, pop these guys on and you'll fall in love with the music.

Those are my sunday recommendations, but hey, you don't have to take my word for it...

yeah, Monty Moose is awesome.

But to answer your question, Lovedrug in MY personal thought would be if you are a fan of MUSE. They have some aspects of them in thir music, however, know how to mellow out. Other than that, I can't think of a comparison...just give an honest listen.

Im sold.

Now if I had some cash to blow. Ill put it on my growing list for after my bank account recovers from Christmas. I may spend my entire $1200 bonus plus tax return(which usually is about another $1000) on cds....again.
