I suppose this thread was inevitable. Who is hitting up those coveted BN shows in Ohio and Indiana? I am going to the Columbus date. Any chance we are going to see a few new songs? Maybe the die-hards will get a couple surprises from YFW? 70x7? I have seen it about 5 times live but I would love to see it again... Let it begin.

why are these shows coveted? they have toured tons the past 2 years. if you havent seen them it's your own damn fault.

I'll be at the Cincinnati date. They are in no way coveted except for they never come through Ohio, and if they do it is usually just Cleveland. Also, pretty cool that these are the only few dates for the rest of the year, I hope to hear a few new songs.
They've been to Ohio quite a bit since TDAG, but mostly Cleveland.
March 16, 2007 - Newprt Music Hall
March 18, 2007 - House Of Blues Cleveland
December 12, 2007 - House Of Blues Cleveland
Decembr 13, 2007 - House Of Blues Cleveland

And I want to say the fist tour even had a Cincy show but I'm not sure.

seconded. i've seen them 3 times since TDAGARIM came out. if they were playing some final show on long island at like the crazy donkey or something, then i'd raise an eyebrow. expect the same mediocre bullshit set that they've shat out all year long.

no offense BN, but you guys have to learn how to treat your fans better when you play live and give us some love in the form of YFW. we're the reason you sell out places like the avalon in hollywood or center stage in ATL.

wow wrong on so many levels. ive seen brand new 6 times sense the devil and god came out and their sets are phenominal. seeing 5-8 people on stage for the devil and god songs is damn good and plays to the kind of fans they want at their show anyways.

i really hope they never play seventy times 7 again. its one of their worst songs and i get so sick of hearing their fans bitch about it so much. it would be nice to hear more your favorite weapon variety, but there are much better songs than that one

The first tour didn't have a Cincinnati date and if you read my post you would see where I said "they never come through Ohio, and if they do it is usually just Cleveland".I'm going to the Bogarts show. :-)

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but lol@people still bitching about not getting enough YFW. It's not their fault you didn't see them 6 or 7 years ago. They are going to play what they want live, and being that they are nearing 30, that obviously isn't a lot from an album they wrote when they were fucking 18 or 19 years old. Shut the fuck up about it already. The only thing screaming out "70 TIMES SEVEN!" does is annoy them, and the rest of the crowd that doesn't want to hear that song for the millionth time.

i think stupidity on parad said it best when he said they play to the crowd of people they want to be there. They obviously are a completely different band then when they came out with YFW. I am going to a show in a couple weeks, they are coming to my college. Personally my ideal show would consist of 9 YFW songs but i like the type of music on YFW more than TDGARIM. I really havent seen too many bands blatantly not play some of there most popular songs live like they do (i dont think too many people would be upset with a setlist consisting of 70X7, jude law, quiet things. magazines etc...) but i guess brand new is different in the sense that theyre style from YFW is completely different now

The Builders and The Butchers are opening.
The vocals remind me of that of Colin Meloy.
Should be interesting.

They're part of the geographic region of the US known as the "Midwest".

They don't owe you anything. I'm sure they'd be happy playing whatever they want to play at 400-500 capacity venues (as opposed to the House Of Blues which I'm assuming is 1000+) Also, time to grow up and learn that there's other music besides High School tragedy-influenced pop-punk.

Fuck YFW, you can hear those kinds of songs from any shitty pop punk band. Deja Entendu and DAGRIM are amazing.

Actually, just get in your car in the garage. Close the garage door. Turn the engine on and listen to Your Favorite Weapon. It'll be a great time. Trust me.

The room they have the concerts in is not very big at all... I went to see boys like girls and punchline in it last year both sold out and there was no way there was more than 300-350 people in the room

I'm pretty sure every Brand New thread breaks down to people getting pissed at what's on their set list. That's great your favorite Brand New album is Your Favorite Weapon and if you didn't get to see them when they played and toured on it, then you're missed out or were too young and that's just too bad. Bad timing.

If you can't stand that they don't play many songs off YFW then don't give them your money, don't go to the show, and then don't come here and complain.

ya i already got my tickets and it says where its at its the same room boys like girls and punchline were at which were both awesome shows because there were so few people there. Boys like girls even talked about how much they liked playing shows like that compared to bigger ones

I would really love to see them. As a fan who got into them only as of this year, listened the shit out of DE and DAG, I love their more mature sound. I couldn't care less about YFW, it is, to me, lackluster, compared to some of their new stuff. I wanna see if they play a set as loud as The Matches :]
