Is it just me, or are all these bands starting to sound insanely similar? For instance saosin all of a sudden have such a following, and everyone thinks there so amazing. I think there decent at best, bands like underoath and FATA blow them away! I read in a post yesterday that someone payed some outrages price for a signed ep. Thats just crazy, Their sound is so bland and overly executed. Why are these bands so praised? Sorry if this reply is obscure but maybe someone can enlighten me on this.

slade, I get what your saying... I don't think Saosin is that great of a band that everyone thinks they are, although I am a big fan of Foster. I recommend also to check them out. But yes alot of bands do sound the same, you just have to listen to the lyrics and guitar and all...that's how I really look at it.

I wasent saying that Foster is bad or anything, but i just had that on my mind. Your right though, BEFORE TODAY has excellent guitar work in my opinion so thgey stick out a little. Most of the bands that use screaming vocals are just getting old fast i guess. These bands Im listing I think last longer.

One problem I have, is our a heap of bands right now
are sounding just like NFG. I rarely listen to NFG as a result.

If you are saying that bands are sounding like NFG now..... your'e crazy. The're new stuff is absolutly awful! Maybe from a while back, but I dont know. Yeah, the screaming is getting out of hand, but underoath does it really fn well. Them alexisonfire and FATA are the only bands that really excell with it.
