The Receiving End Of Sirens (www.thereceivingendofsirens.com) are finishing up their debut record and, in the meantime, would like you to listen to some band's they've recommended on their site. Check out the full update in the replies.

"It saddens me to report that there is now only one week left here in College Park, MD for us boyz in TREOS. (Although it will be nice to see our friends, family, and loved ones.) The good news is everything is beginning to come together quite well. The songs are starting to take shape and we can't even begin to explain how excited we are to have the CD released! We plan onplaying a good amount of new songs out, starting in late January, when we head out on a tour with out label-mates As Tall As Lions. As of now our first show booked is at the Webster Theater in Hartford, CT on January 21st. Stay tuned for more show updates in this here website and at our live journal, http://www.livejournal.com/users/treos. While you are at it, check out our new buddies Circa Survive, www.circasurvive.com, if for some strange reason you like TREOS you will LOVE these guys. Also stop by www.faraway-band.com and listen to our friends A Loss For Words at www.purevolume.com/alossforwordsmass. We love you and miss you!~TREOS"

Okay, so...I checked out all the bands. TREOS kicks ass and I suspect Circa Survive will be pretty good also (been a fan of both for awhile.) The other bands that TREOS plugged aren't very impressive. A Loss For Words were pretty bland and unexciting. Far Away was very disappointing to me, bringing nothing new to the table, but merely imitating music that isn't even good to start with.

We'll see what everyone else thinks. Since I'm on the other side of the world I get to read the posts and respond while everyone else is sleeping. What do you guys think about these bands?

we played a show with faraway this past summer. they are really good live, and while they might just do what other bands have done, they do it well and with great attitudes and i think that is what is going to help them get ahead. an example of how charisma works in your favor...
