there are always idiot genres that take over the world, every era has one

60s: Folk and Psychadelic
70s: Heavy Metal and Blues Rock
80s: Hair Metal, Thrash Metal, New Wave
90s: Grunge, Post-Grunge, Ska
00s: Nu Metal, Metalcore, Pop Punk

i'm not insulting any of these genres, just saying they all have taken over, AND been heavily criticized

I hate how the word has been given such a bad name when 99% of the people who claim to hate powerpop don't have the slightest idea what it is.

Anybody like Teenage Fanclub? Bandwagonesque is one of the best albums of the 90's, hands down. You really should own it, srsly.
