why did you link to the hasn't-been-updated-in-a-year fan site? they have their own website now, you know.

won't their ep on barsuk be recorded first?
and chris walla isn't producing this one?

anyway i can't wait. i've been listening to the photo album a lot again and it's making me eager for some new stuff.

Their EP, which will be released in January 25th, is going to be a live EP from the spring tour.

Yeah, the EP is going to be a live one and apparently after everything Chris Walla is going to be producing this one, but maybe "with a little outside help". That was the quote, not really sure what it means! Am so excited for this - but am I the only one who thinks they won't get that much bigger than Transatlanticism? Just can't see the crossover myself... Love em to bits though...

rawr, i can't wait (and am yet very nervous for DCFC - they stand to lose quite a bit of fan support if this debut like, sucks. >_>)

oh...that's disappointing then. i was hoping for a few new songs.

a lot of their fans bitched about transatlanticism, i honestly think it was just as good as all their other albums so i don't understand the complaints. i'm sure there will be even more bitching with this one just because it's on a major.

if you want to know if this album is going to be good, listen to any song by death cab for cutie and realize everything they put out is gold.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...hold the funk.

I know I'm behind the times a bit. But Hasselhoff? David Hasselhoff is producing this album?

And it's gonna be on Atlantic, right?

they'll still make a new TPS album. no doubt, itll only take like a half a year to make this death cab album (including touring) and the other TPS album only took a few months. dont sweat it.

ehhh. i don't think it'll be happening this year. dntel's working on a new album, death cab's working on a new album and rilo kiley is touring europe, the u.s. and then jenny's touring solo and releasing her album. i'd say early 2006.

but then what do i know. hopefully they'll surprise me and do it sooner.

Postal Service album in 2006. Rumor has at least.

If any of you have any doubts about new death cab material, listen to "This Temporary Life" from Future Soundtrack for America. It is an awesome song, and was just released this past August.

Everything they or Ben Gibbard himself have done is great. After weezer this is easily my most anticipated album of 05.
