My Chemical Romance (http://www.mychemicalromance.com) played a private radio show last night at a strip club in Detroit reportedly called "Zoo Bar." Bert from The Used (http://www.theused.net), Taking Back Sunday (http://www.takingbacksunday.com), and one of the Madden brothers from Good Charlotte (http://www.goodcharlotte.com) along with his bodyguard were in attendance. Some were lucky enough to see Bert and Matt (TBS) pole dancing which even included some upside down sliding and gymnastics. Bert of course sang during "You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison" and Adam (TBS) was found in the pit during "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)."

Well thats just great, I drove 6 1/2 hours to see them in Rhode Island Tuesday night and they didnt show up...However, Straylight Run and the extended set of the Presidents of the USA definitely made up for it...

As far as i'm concerned, GC have the crown of most hated band in the world. People don't want them involved with this type of music at all, therefore the fact that he would be there with a bodygaurd none the less pisses people off. Thats why comments like that are made, they have all the right in the world to go to shows but c,mon who really wants them involved in music?

The six million people who buy their albums want them involved in music! To make it clear, I love MCR and don't listen to Good Charlotte simply because it's not to my personal taste, but that doesn't mean that I think they should disappear. They have every right to do what they do, a lot of people think they do it well, and if the boys in MCR and TBS think they are cool and want to hang out with them then who the hell are we to hate on that? Equally, as regards the fact that he has a bodyguard - he probably has to. I mean, the guy has got mobbed on occasion. It doesn't make him a dick or a "rock star" or any of the above, it just makes him a guy who has got sufficiently famous that he has to have one.
Anyhow, drama. Besides that, I would have loved to have been at that show!

it pisses me off how people have a personal grudge against the madden brothers.
they are friends with a lot of people in the scene(including the other bands in this post), and from what ive heard from other members of bands they are cool guys who make shitty music.
i am, by the way, seeing MCR, TBS and The Used tomoorw... so its sorta like i am being there... just not in a strip club

6 million 12 year old girls! The bottom line is, that even if they are cool guys or are friends with people in the "scene" there music is the pinnacle of mindless garbage, and a lot of people on this site utterly loathe it ( me ). Ooh, Slade, nice argument! Putting the "me" in brackets flags up the problem with what you're saying -it's your opinion! They "don't fucking belong" where? On this site? If that's how you feel, just ignore the posts about them, don't read them! Hanging out with their friends in TBS and MCR? Well, who the hell are you, to say who they can be friends with? Even if their music is "mindless garbage", why does that matter here - they weren't playing, they weren't trying to kick MCR offstage or anything, they were just watching a band play.

Not bands that write songs suggested by managment to help record sales (any of their singles). i was hoping for a tbs reunion. what we got was adam asking the crowd how they enjoyed all the bands tonight, and left out straylight run, and instead said "i have else clever to say"
intersting enough adam watched most of their set from a staircase to the side of the stage.

I went to the concert excited to see every band except for the presidents, but they totally stole the show. Straylight Run played pretty well despite it being a short set. The used and tbs sucked, lol. Good energy but not voices. I love them both I was just dissappointed live. PUSA rocked. Now I want to purchase some of their old cds.
