Mix for Tasteless Roommate

Hmm I'm thinking of making a mix for my roommate mostly cuz it's his birthday on Sunday. Trick is he listens to rap and bands like Three Days Grace :p. Anywho, he does like some of the music I play (Taking Back Sunday, and he was humming Ohio is for Lovers and SoCo's I Woke Up In A Car earlier today) and he likes Finch and seems to like pop-punkish stuff. Any suggestions?

This is easy. Put Blink, NFG, Fall Out Boy, Matchbook Romance, Brand New, MxPx, Yellowcard, Greenday, and any other really popular band on there. I first started listening to bands like these, and then I just kept looking for bands like them and constantly looking for new music, and now I listen to tons of bands. So he'll start listening to these bands and then grow into "punk" more and more.

Yea, start with stuff he could actually find out. I would be willing to say that even though most of them won't admit it, almost anyone where who is less then 20 started listening to pop-punk/indie music through the likes of Good Charlotte, New Found Glory, Green Day, or Blink 182.
