I posted this in recommendation but wanted to see if it could get some opinions in other forums. I had a family member pass away recently and was wondering if anybody knew some good songs to put on a mixtape. Thanks

My heart truly goes out to you as my brother died last September. Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton is a really good one. So is Find Me In The River by Delirious?.

I did a search for "music when you lose a loved one" and I found this string. Glad I did. I hope you don't mind, but not all my songs are going to be Punk or Emo.. they're just songs to help a broken heart.. they've helped me. My boyfriend of 8 years and fiancee just passed away a month ago. Fucking pain like I've never known.
Just a note: I think the Police did "every Breath you take" which Puffy borrowed from.. but it wasn't about loss.. it was about stalking someone:
"Every breath you take, every move you make...... I'll be watching you."
For anyone else who comes upon this string in the future, here are my add-ons:
See you on the other side -- ozzy ozborne (This is more of what they would be saying to us who are grieving)
Alter Bridge -- In loving memory of
3 doors down -- here without you
