Since, Thrice is awesome, I made a poll about their discography. I decided to make The Alchemy Index into just one album that encompasses all 4 EPs since it's technically one album. So, which album is your favorite Thrice achievment?

Vheissu.

This is a very tough choice, but i'm going to have to say The Artist In the Ambulance.

I'm going with The Alchemy Index. Illusion of Safety being right behind it, but that's more for nostalgic reasons.

So hard to choose! I'll go with the album that personally affected me the most.

I bought Artist in the Ambulance first so that one had a pretty big impact.
Got IOS after AITA, so it didn't have as big of an affect on me.
Vheissu took me over a year to settle into.
The Alchemy Index may have saved my life... so that is the winner.

The Artist...fave album ever pretty much. Vheissu is a really great album but i love every song on The Artist... and i dig the heavyness, so it wins.

Artist>Vheissu>Alchemy>Illusion>Identity Crisis

If you really think anything after Artist in the Ambulance is their "best," then you must like really boring music.

Just play some old Thrice and it'll wake you out of your coma.

That is one band that went from, "my new favorite band" to "sounds like elevator music"

Please one day come back with some good stuff...

Illusion of Safety. Can't get into the newer stuff, just too slow for me.

they never realized their potential as a band until TAI. i cant stand how sooo many of their fans want them to return to shallow scene music. the music is fun and definitely gets you going at a show but thrice are not just another one of those bands anymore, they stand out, they're doing a lot with their music and creativity, their music has substance now.

vheissu still counts though, that album has substance it just isnt as expressive or diverse as TAI.

False. I started getting into Thrice shortly after the Illusion of Safety was released. I loved it. I loved the follow-up. But Vhiessu is the most dynamic, interesting, and in my opinion, best release they've come out with. It transcends "hardcore punk."

So tough. I picked the Artist in the Ambulance, but The Illusion of Safety was a close second.

Vheissu is actually kind of perfect. I picked the Alchemy Index though. I really need to buy the rest of their entire albums previous.

The Artist In The Ambulance. It's one of my favorite records ever. The most perfect mix of being heavy and still having supreme melody I've that ever heard. And I don't care for any of Thrice's stuff after that, it all feels like it's trying too hard to be deep and progy, but it just fails.

how could anyone vote for identity crisis? other than phoenix ignition i find that whole album to be fairly useless
