Would have voted for the Underdog EP, but it wasn't here, so One for the Kids, though Paper Walls is very close behind that.

i agree. the underdog ep is their best. avondale and finish line are probably my favourite yellowcard songs along with october nights from one for the kids, which i voted as best album.

I went with One for the Kids. It's such a nostalgic album for me. Songs like *struck, Drifting, and Sureshot are among Yellowcard's best, in my opinion.

I know I'm in the minority on that one, but aside from a couple tracks, I could never get into OFTK. "October Nights" is one of, if not my single favorite Yellowcard songs, but other than that I found the the album to pretty mediocre. I realize that L&S is also quite lackluster, but it's more consistent, making it more enjoyable for me... I guess.

Ocean Avenue, though I haven't actually heard any of the albums in their entirety..

is Paper Walls really that good?
when it first came out, i remember people being pissed cause it was terrible.
all i've heard from it is 'Light Up the Sky', which is a pretty solid track.

i'm just wondering, though..

I think it's an amazing cd. The title track and "Two Years From Twenty" are kind of lacking. But there's a lot of standout tracks. Maybe that's just me though.

Listen to Waiting Game, Holly Wood Died, and Sure Thing Falling if you don't have the patience to try to get through the album again. Those are the best, or my favorite, three off the album.

Yellowcard definitely got better as they got older, making Paper Walls the best. That was undoubtedly the best album of the year from anybody. Ocean Avenue was great when it came out, but listening to it now, it's pretty weak. There are a lot of songs on it that are great, but a lot of mediocre ones too. Ocean Avenue, Believe, Back Home, One Year Six Months are the only really good ones, everything else is just OK. It's too all over the place for me. I like albums that are more consistent in their sound.

Completely agree. None of their albums have as much "spunk" as OFTK and none of them quite have that knack for harmony as OFTK in my opinion. They still had great harmonies on all three albums and The Underdog EP, but I could listen to OFTK for the rest of my life.

I love every single album of theirs, but OFTK is the album that really gets me pumped. It was far and away their most "punk" (by that I think I mean most aggressive?) or spunkiest. It was very well balanced with some pop, some up-tempo spunk, and a couple gorgeous acoustic-esque songs.

This is one of my favorite albums in life. Period. I can't deny it.

I highly suggest listening to it for a couple days and see if you don't find out that you like it way more than you thought you would.
