I hate to sound dumb, but when a band asks for help on some dates, such as in this post, do they want someone (i.e. a fan) to physically contact someone and tell them that, say, "Big City Dreams wants to play here, can they?", or do they just want ideas/phone numbers for a place to play and they can arrange the details? Cause I could totally recommend places in the VA/MD/DC area. I might as well post them....Ottobar is a good choice, so it Shooters in Fredericksburg (where I live). Nanci Raygun is small in Richmond, VA and Black Cat in DC is a good place also. I'm going to this place on Wednesday to see This Day and Age in Spencerville, MD called The Barn. I can only imagine what it is, but it sounds to be like a church/youth center.

Yeah I sent them one saying the Ottobar and gave them the information to look into it. I think you should give them suggestions and then if they need more help getting a place, then you get more involved.

Finding a place to play in other states is really hard to do when you don't have a booking agent helping you. It's pretty much safe to say I doubt the guys from Florida have ever made it all the way up the east coast before. Just send them a link of a venue thats close to the area and tell them about it (if you had been there). Something like that is a HUGE HELP!

there are a lot of promoters out there like myself that pick up shows from threads, just like these. race the sun/madison were looking for help, i got them a show. last week, big city dreams posted something like this looking for help and i got them on that same race the sun/madison show. all three bands are playing like 2 weeks earlier in jersey, then meet up for my show here in TX.
