I thought about this a long time, and in the end I had to give the edge to Wall-E over The Dark Knight. I just think it's a better movie, overall...i'm sure i'll be the only one.

I think The Dark Knight, Wall-E, and Iron Man are all pretty close for me. Wall-E "hit" me harder than the others and I thought that visually, it was absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait for that on Blu-Ray

Well, the cost of Blu-Ray players is still pretty expensive, but they are coming down. I think the cheapest Blu-Ray player is still about $250, but most are between $300 and $400.

That said, right now, a PS3 would probably be your best value, especially if you have an interest in gaming AT ALL. PC magazine named it the best Blu-Ray player on the market because of it's connectivity and ability to have firmware updates, and it's not that much more expensive than the average Blu-Ray player. You can pick one up for $399 right now.

Unfortunately though, the price of new releases on Blu-Ray is still about $30, so it's hard for me to make the switch completely, especially with DVDs going for so cheap these days. I did buy Planet Earth though, and it's absolutely stunning.

Seriously considering selling my XBOX 360 (with Madden 09, Elder Scrolls IV, GTA IV and Halo 3) to do this. Makes sense, since pretty much all the upcoming games i'm looking forward to (FFXIII, Silent Hill 5, etc.) will be available on PS3.

Nice. I love my 360 and still buy all the cross-platform games for the 360, but I really like my PS3 so far. I mainly got it for the blu-ray compatibility, but there are still quite a few game exclusives I'm looking forward to as well.

I went with TDK, but like everyone else it was a close call between that and Wall-E. Also, Tropic Thunder was way up there on my list.
