I know its complicated to explain the situation but i want to give this girl a mix cd that says hey i like ya. Keep in mind im trying to stay away from hardcore. Im trying to stick to pop-punk, indie, shtty emo, w/e.
Home Grown-What Would Love Do Now?
This Providence-Best Wishes
Waking Ashland-I Am For You
Copeland-Take Care
Red Light Ambition-Tell Me This New
Dashboard-The Only Gift I need
Armor For Sleep-Perfect Things
The Starting Line-Playing Favorites
The Format-On Your Porch
Sherwood-The Summer Sends It's Love
Daphne Loves Derby-The End Of Everything I love
-Can anyone think of a better Daphne song to put in there? Trade end of everything for a different song.
Alkaline Trio - You've Got So Far To Go
Jimmy Eat World - For Me, This Is Heaven
Jeff Buckley - Lover, You Should've Come Over (Not indie or emo or any of that stuff, but still really good)
John Coltrane - Central Park West (I know it's not a band type thing, but it's a very slow tempo type song and it gives you that type of feeling of being there with someone you love.)
Head Automatica - Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Straight Edge

I'd put Something Corporate on there. Girls jizum themselves over that band.

I don't understand why, I mean I listen to Konstantine and I really like the arrangement and the music in that song and even some of the lyrics, but Christ, that guys voice damn near destroys the thing for me. It's so damn nasally, I just want to kick his ass for messing it up.

Girls seem to like SoCo, Copeland, Rocket Summer, Get Up Kids, etc. More girls seem to go for the emo-pop rather then the punk-pop.

Good call with the get up kids, you should have "valentine" as well. Also,
"Always" by blink 182 "As you sleep" and "She paints me blue" as the other guy said by SoCo are awesome. "Moshi moshi" by brand new, oh and "I'm lost without you" by blink 182 as well. She'll be putty in your hands after she hears those bad boys.

I don't know if this applies, but...
The Early November - Come Back
kind of upbeat, but...
Weezer - El Scorcho
Alkaline Trio - Clavical
Reel Big Fish - Alternative Baby
Maybe you'd come off as a creep.. but oh well.
The Cure - Lovesong
Jets To Brazil - Sweet Avenue
...one of the best songs i've heard in a long time. reminds me of her every time i hear it.
yeah.. just the JTB song.
Oh, and for a little less... beaty version of Such Great Heights... check out the cover by Iron and Wine.

WHOA! i forgot some...
that one MXPX song.. where they talk about painting the house and washing the car.. "Quit Your Life" i think it's called. "Without You" also...
you can also try "San Dimas High School Football Rules" by the Ataris. you can try the acoustic version, but it sounds shitty.
Slick Shoes - Angel...
sorry i think i'm choosing the wrong type of songs.
