I doubt most of the people on this fourm will know who they are
but a lot of elitist hardcore types say that Refused stole the sound and image of NOU, and although i respect NOU i have to say that Refused is 90 times better, and NOU really isn't that good...
thoughts?

I've heard some NOU, and from what I remember, it was good; however, Refused (specifically The Shape of Punk to Come) is better.

NOU was amazing, and Refused did rip off their style pretty blatantly . You don't need to be a music elitist to recognize this, it's pretty obvious.

Plays pretty for baby is an awesome album. I wouldn't say Refused ripped them off, they were very heavily influenced by them, but that doesn't mean they copied them. However, the start of 'Refused Party Program' and 'The Sound Of Jazz To Come' are incredibly similar.
Both awesome bands though, but I'd say Refused are better.

Why would one band have to be better than the other, it makes no sense. As you couldn't be a fan of both seeing as their similarities are close. Both are cool. I listen to Refused alot but, Nation is cool too.
