I've been told to take this as a senior. Is it a hard class? Most people say it is a hell of a lot easier than Math B: Trig., logs, co-functions, all that stuff.

It's not that hard, if you intend to go further in math or a math-related field, you should take it as soon as possible, I didn't find it that hard, but then again I think calculus was easy as shit so, I guess it depends whether or not it's your strong suit.

i'm taking it this year. If u took alg II last year, or at least remember most of the stuff, u'll do well. First stuff in pre-calc class is always reviewing and going in a little deeper in algebra II, then the real stuff begins. If u're good in math u should take it, it could be a little hard at first but then u get the hang of it

I'm not looking to go into math, but one of my friends has to take Calc because of her college and she never took calc, so she's extremely lost. That's why I am asking.

I don't know who told you that but we have been doing Trig for the last two and a half months in Pre-calc. It can get diffucult.

Oddly enough I understand a good amount of trig.

Yeah, it's really not that hard. Just pay attention. Practice the problems as a way of studying for tests. You'll be fine.

It's not that hard, I took it as a junior.....
...but then again I have finished Calculus classes all the way up to Calc III. :)

pre-calc is the biggest waste of time...absolutely useless...you never do trig proofs/identities in calc...you should just get a quick intro to limits then jump into differentials in calculus...that's it.

you should take calc as a senior. pre-calc is a joke

To me, most math is a joke, I hate it, but I have to deal with it. I'm not good at it so I don't want to jump into calc.

welll...you can't exactly take calc without taking pre-calc, so if he/she is a senior already...that's kinda too late. but ya, i agree with everyone. pre-calc is a waste of time.

what math class are you taking now?

It's B2B. It has trig, functions, proofs, and other stuff like that.

Stat, AP stat, AP Calc, business math, consumer math...

so you don't need to take precalculus? ah...every school is different i suppose. if you're good at math, i say go for the ap calc.

psh eff that. I have a great teacher this year, so I am doing really well, I would like to take pre-calc and maybe take college calc when I get there; depending on where I go, they may not even make me take college Calc.

so then do that. don't kill yourself senior year. as a very wise person told me, it's the only time that you'll be able to bullshit around again until college. take advantage of it and enjoy it. i unforunately am not.

I'm going to take AP classes in what I am good at, but in other subjects I'm taking it easy. Pre-Calc sounds like it will be a good class. Thank you for your help.

Yeah, I did the same thing. Don't mention it and good luck.

I had pre-calc when I was a junior. It had almost nothing to do with calculus. It was easy. I'm happy I just passed Calc II in college (got my grades yesterday)
i'm a junior, and I'm taking pre-calc. Its an easy ass class. Its not that hard at all.

That's what I've heard. I'm in regents math (which means I'm just average in it) so I'm behind all the advanced kids, but I'm taking AP English and Government next year. I'm in the class below Pre-Calc now and we just started proofs. I felt like stabbing myself with a pencil.

trig/proofs was the best part of math 30. i hate logs.
the american school system is very confusing.

People like you make me feel stupid. We just started proofs on lines and I'm lost beyond belief.

hahahahhaha. trigs/proofs was like, the ONLY thing I got in math 30, i forgot to mention that.
math = my worst subject
physics = close second
