Here's what Thrice (http://www.thrice.net) has said about their new album:
"'It's definietly going to be different,' says Kensrue. 'I don't know if 'cinematic' is the right word, but we're trying to write parts that sound like something you might hear in a film score, that move you emotionally, on a level that just comes from the changes of the chords and notes.'"

I dont know what to. I bet it will be softer, which saddens me. But on the other hand can thrice do wrong? No, no they can't.
even if that were the case, i would not be disappointed, have you heard the acoustics? i think theyre grand.

A friend said that he had heard that album will be more thrashier than their previous albums but its great to hear a band member say something about the upcoming album. I know this will definately be sweet. I hope to hear a date of release soon.

All joking aside, that might just be the most bad-ass sounding album, ever.

if i'm not mistaken, last year's issue of the most anticipated albums also said that the finch and starting line albums would be out in the spring/summer of '04. granted it's not the magazine's fault for wishful thinking..of course there are plenty of things to take into consideration like label issues, recording issues and shit like that, but i'm not sure how reliable they can be when it comes to release dates, other than provide some sort of timeframe, which could very well be completely off. for all we know, we could be seeing this record this time next year..still cant wait though. thrice are surely musical geniuses..cant wait.

hmm... as a huge Thrice fan and poster on the band's messageboards, I'm going to say "cinematic" is an adjective to describe Godspeed You Black Emperor! I think that the new album is going head a bit in this direction, and will be very "heavy" (not to be confused with "hard"). I think it is going to have very thematic parts.

Anything Thrice does is gold........cant do wrong in my opinion. Even their first lp "Identity Crisis" was awesome.......but like a film score, interesting. Im excited, too bad its gonna be like a year
