Gaslight Anthem rochester 9/15

Fucking hell, this is one of my new favorite shows ever. I had just discovered this band about a month ago I guess, just kinda randomly checked them out and fell in love with the 59 sound. It's currently my number 2 album of the year and i just adore it. The old stuff is cool too but i'm not all that familiar with it. Anyway, I got right up front for the show and it was fucking phenomenal. I'll be posting videos on youtube tomorrow. The middle of this is probably a bit jumbled up.

My only disappointment is that I really wanted to hear High Lonesom. The singer told some funny-ass weird stories and said all kinda of crazy shit between songs which made it even more enjoyable. Overall such a great time. Check them out.

My review is coming soon.. I saw them play 20+ songs in New Jersey a few days ago. They skipped High Lonesome, though, and I too really wanted to hear it. Was he telling stories about gypsies in Australia?

can't wait to see them again next week, I'm hoping for High Lonesome or Film Noir since those are the only two off the new album they didn't play when I saw them at the record release show in NYC. this band is seriously phenomenal live, I'm blown away every time I see them.

Haha I don't think he talked about Gypsies in Australia. He told us about some lady with diamonds and she handed him a note with a story on it, and the story was 'Old White Lincoln'. He also talked about hurricanes and storms in Ohio or something.

I've also noticed they stopped playing Drive at alot of shows, bummer cause I'd rather hear that than Wooderson or 1930.
