Big D did an in-store performance for the grand opening of Newbury Comics in Norwood, MA on September 13th. They played a great set that was pretty long:

Steady Riot
Breaking the Bottle
Noise Complaint
Wailing Paddle
Can't Be Caught
Shining On
Try Out Your Voice
Hell on Earth
Strictly Rude
New England
Jeremy
My Girlfriend's on Drugs
51 Gardner
GLD
Souped-Up Vinyl
Little Bitch
Bender
Fly away

I also videotaped the whole set and put it on Youtube. Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwSvHB-39w4) is the first of eight parts; you can find the others as video responses to each sequential video. Therefore I Am and Robby Roadsteamer are playing there this weekend and I'll probably do the same.

I'm at work now but I am looking forward to watching this. I know they're probably sick of it but I seriously just want to hear Evil Girl/Angry Girl. I know it's probably been played to death but I've only seen them twice when I knew who they were and they didn't play it. I saw them at warped in 03 and it was the first time I heard them and they played it.

Glad someone will enjoy it!

I've actually never heard that song. I'm kind of only a casual Big D fan, in that I'm only familiar with their 3 full lengths. This was my first time seeing them and it was a good time, so I'd definitely like to go see 'em in a club some time.

I was hoping to hear "LAX" (as were some other people who were requesting it), but they didn't play it because of all the swears and it was a free, public show with little kids around.

I'm a pretty casual fan myself but I'm def. going to get more into them. Once I saw them in 03 I was pretty stoked on them but forgot about them until maybe two years ago. I didn't buy a cd until about then maybe a little later. I only have Strictly Rude and The Gypsy Hill Ep but I can't wait to get others. The gypsy hill has some gems including Evil Girl. It's got New England on it and an awesome song called checklists. You should check that out fo sho haha.
