How does he not have an official thread yet???
Always been my favorite Beatle, and even though he was a bit inconsistent, his solo stuff reached higher than any of the others. All Things Must Pass is an all time classic, Living In The Material World is a worthy followup. Dark Horse, Cloud Nine, Brainwashed, and some of the others are pretty frickin' good too. His electronic stuff is really interesting. His guitar playing is a huge influence on me, and Something might just be one of the best rock love songs ever written.
But anyways... as to what made me start this thread - I just got the Concert For Bangladesh DVD set from the library today and it's amazing. Great song selection, great special guests, the DVD is nicely done, I think I'll have to buy this one when I get money. I was also really impressed by Eric Clapton's performances. He just lays back in the shadows and never tries to steal the spotlight. It's like he doesn't mind playing a supporting role at all, none of the typical rockstar ego I assumed he would have. If you're a fan of Harrison, Clapton, Dylan, Ravi Shankar, et all, you really should check this out.
