okay, i forget if there was a "Recommendations" subforum or not, but I'm to lazy to look for it, so i'll run the risk of getting flamed for posting in the wrong section anyways.

i wanted to make my girlfriend a really amazing mix cd, with all of the beautiful folksy/lo-fi/acoustic/ indie music i could find, and i need some help finishing/polishing it up.

so far, the tracks i have on it are:

Angel (Acoustic)- Jimi Hendrix
Each Coming Night- Iron and Wine
Naked as we Came- Iron and Wine
For Emma- Bon Iver
Blindsided- Bon Iver
Wrapped in Piano Strings- Radical Face
Gobbledigook- Sigur Ros
Hoppipolla- Sigur Ros

so i only have like, 8 songs on here, and i have two songs per artist pretty much, so if anyone could give me some recs on songs or artists, that would be cool.

Joe Strummer & The Mescaleroes - Arms Aloft
Finn Brothers - Gentle Hum
Decemberists - Oceanside

Not folk or indie really, but I'd put Stars - On Peak Hill on there too.

If you want to melt your girlfriend, I'd recommend either "The City Lights" by Umbrellas or "Second Place Victory" by This Day and Age. Plus, scratch "For Emma" and throw on "Re:Stacks" instead bro!

I have seriously got like a vault of beautiful songs, if you want the ladies to swoon. Just make sure they know you're not gay. Let me know if you want more.

Oh and i'd always like more recommendations myself if anyone has any?!?

Err...the music was pretty nice, whats up with that guy's voice though?

Check out stuff off of Death Cab's Plans or Transatlanticism too, real nice stuff. You probably already know that.
