Here (http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/). Of course, like any publication, they're not that correct (I'll give them 80% correct), but they do a better job than anyone else, in my opinion.

I have to agree with you, pitchfork is a great website, but I dont entirely agree with their 50 albums of the year order, mainly I disagree with some of the top 10. I would actually probably give Arcade Fire number 1, but the Fiery Furnaces are extremely overrated. And Ghostface as the top 10 hiphop album...no

Yep seems like something you'd read.

Yeah I'm not so much into Indie anymore I guess. Not that I was much past Britpop in the first place.

I agree with Loretta Lynn being there, Iron and Wine should've been put higher. But seriously, how did Dizee Rascal beat Kanye West? I can't fucking stand Dizee Rascal. Morissey should've been higher. Interpol should've been higher and I fucking hate Franz Ferdinand. But The Arcade Fire definetly deserved number one. I love that album.

Exactly what I was thinking, dizee racal is overrated. The streets got the number 2 album which I dont think is right either, I hated it. Kanye West should have been in the top 10. I would have put interpol in the top 10 too..

The critics love Dizzee for some reason, who knows. I surely don't, though I do love Mike Skinner. His and Kanye's albums were some of the only hip-hop albums I enjoyed this year. I mean, I wish Interpol would have been higher, and Ted Leo didn't even make the goddamn list, but I'll take what I can get, and PFork is definitely better than all the other music rags, like Rolling Stone or AP.

Actually, Sung Tongs by Animal Collective got #2, and damn it just gets better every time I listen to it. And I personally like The Fiery Furnaces.

Pitchfork is absolutely amazing. I read it every day. I love it.

I am taking it personal that they won't be back until what, the 3rd? Where am I going to get my daily weekday dose of new odd music?

I can't stand Dizzee either. And I'm suprised Loretta Lynn wasn't higher, I was expecting her to be after all the praise they gave her. Also, I bet if they made this list 3 months ago, Franz would have been ranked a LOT higher. They absolutely loved that album before it exploded into the mainstream. (just about everyone did honestly).

Arcade Fire definitely deserves number one, though I'm suprised Ted Leo wasn't around. (Tanooki, I'm all kinds of with you on this. PF didn't like Pinback either).

I'm also suprised Drive By Truckers weren't on it.

Also, I'm glad Moz wasn't ridiculously high, because his album honestly wasn't that amazing.

I'm also taking it personal. I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do with myself. Honestly. I go there friggin constantly. My struggle with that is going to be somewhat similiar to what some kids on AP would have to deal with if it was gone for a fucking week. Extreme emotional destruction.

Ok not really, but I'll definitely notice it being gone.

However, I'm getting a bit sick of all the weird electro-bop dj stuff they're flaunting constantly over there. I mean, I appreciate it, and understand why people respect it so much, but I have limits on how much random *ding dong ting tang* stuff I can take.

I haven't heard these Drive By Truckers... what do they sound like? (in standard, band+band notation, please)

They're a lot more rural country type stuff, but with a strong rock influence. It's like...if the white stripes had more of a late 60's dirty south country thing going on.

What's your take on bip bop wickity wop teenky teenky ding ding music?

Depends on which band you mean. Though my current obsessions are freak-folk and The Good Life (so I may not be liking the electronica as much right now).
