this is terrible news. i've been to thailand at least 5-7 times. i've stayed at the laguna beach resort that was completely destroyed. also, my dad was going to retire in thailand this august.

christmas is the most popular time of the year for tourists. my prayers go out to them all.

I posted that an 8.9 quake is brutal just in case anyone actually thought that this isnt a serious event. I also wished for aid to be rushed there as soon as possible....how is that not respectul? Because I cursed? Because I didnt say I was praying for them? That's my choice and I still hope that they get all of the help that they need. I'm pretty sure no words (positive or negative, clean or dirty) can really express what those people and their families are going through.

Besides, speaking of respect you dont even show any yourself, instead relying on complaining about people's diction. Get a life.

i saw a report on this and it said the toll was at 20,000 thats like my whole town vanishing, its so sad to think about that much loss of life at one time, and on a little note about the day after tomorrow thing it snowed here about 2 weeks ago and i live in so cal, we had about 7 inches in my backyard.
