It's a great song, but I personally find it hard to name the best song of all time. There's just too many that I like.
its a great song no doubt, but i personally think summer of 69 by bryan adams is better

Great song, decent hair. But really the competition is just too stiff, I don't even know if I'd put it in my top 100. I like Heart of the Matter more I think, but probably still not top 100 material. Don Henley is just one of those guys who is really talented and I respect him, I just find it hard to really flip out over anything he's done. Good solid music, but that's about it.

No, boys, musically, through and through, it's a brilliant song. The way that the instrumentals combine to create an atmosphere reflective of the lyrical subject is incredible. But that's my opinion.

No. It's a pretty good song. Better than the Ataris version. Pales in comparison to many other Eagles songs though.

No way the best of all time but a great song no doubt. Codeseven does an awesome cover.

Codeseven's adaptation, in my opinion, is one of the worst covers in all of history. Hell, I like DJ Sammy's a hell of a lot more than that of Codeseven. The entire musical execution contradicts the message.

OMFG, I tHoUgHt The Ataris wrote that originally? You mean SOMEONE else wrote this? LAWLZ!!!11!!1
Ok, that was probably really immature, but I couldn't help myself!
I thought it was asking if Don Henly's version was better than The Ataris' or DJ Sammy's or anyone else's cover.
I totally change my vote then. This is nowhere near the greatest song of all time.
