Yellowcard (www.yellowcardrock.com)'s video for "Only One" came in at number 18 on Rolling Stones' 20 Best Videos of 2004 (www.rollingstone.com/bestvideos04?rnd=1104210682964&has-player=true&version=6.0.12.872) list.

i thought that video sucked..

i thought that video was terrible, the only decent video i think they have made is way away. But obviously someone musta liked it

You got to admit, the part where Ryan Key and that girl holding hands and twirling around in circles in the middle of a fucking tear-gased induced riot is a bit lame.

12/27/04, 09:34 PM
And as a side note, that list is also very lame... britney spears number 1?!?!?!?! Even I can admit Jay-Z's "99 Problems" video is awesome and it's not even on there!

1. Britney Spears - "My Prerogative"

Hell, I blew a load every time I saw it so that deserves number 1.

i hated that video...but when i saw the rest of the list, suddenly i understood how it made it.

Same man.

And Eminem's number two, and that video hasn't been out long.

Okay, that list has to be a joke. Seriously, Korns video was probab;y the worst video I've ever seen. Maybe it's supposed to be WORST videos?

This is kinda strange not only because of the rest of the list but because of the video itself. It was just...weird. The whole tear-gas, politcal protest-like concept wasn't exactly what I was thinking for that song but either way, congrats.

:( I loved that video. Cracked me up everytime I watched it. Then again, KoRn is my favorite band, in which case I think I'm the only person here who will say that.

Can't see Yellowcard's "Only One" being good, at all, though. Then again, I haven't seen many videos this year so if that's the best, pretty sad year for videos. Where's "All of Us" by Blindside? I loved that video, my favorite song of all year, though. Where's APC? I'm shutting up now.

The reason My Proroitive was number 1 is shes so fucking hot in the video. It wasnt cuz they liked the song. Shit that video would make any guy wanna have sex right then. But back to the yellowcard. THis video I thought was very good in a unique way. The point with the political parts were about America breaking apart and not being able to get back together and think the same way. And how everyones fighting all the time, which goes along with the tear gas and how he feels like giving up. Then the part with the girl is is infering that no matter how bad things get, war, fighting, hatred, your still my only one. And when he gets seperated he's letting go, but has to find her thru all the chaos going on in the world because shes his only one....if you actuly pay attention the video has some very deep meaing in it, wether or not its a good video

Sureshot182
12/27/04, 10:15 PM
that list is quite horrble. only one wasn't that great of a video either. but when you have basically the 20 most popular mainstream artists (i'm not trying to be punk rock or anything, but it's true) on there...it's gonna suck.

That list is worthy of the city dump as its home.

FUCKING terrible list.

Where the fucking hell is Green Day?

New Found Glory?

Midtown?

Blink 182?

Taking Back Sunday?

Oh that's right.

This is the American Idiot list.

FUCK American pop culture and its lip-syncing douchebag performers.

I HATE our culture. HATE. Reality TV sucks too.

You need to clam down, first of they tried to do this on many perspectives and not what punk atticusfinch wants. Thats why britney is number 1....I dont agree with the list but o well. You know how many poeple listen to metal and would say the samething...and if Greenday and nfg and blink were on there they would make fun of it just as much...theres alot of other music out there then what the people on this site listen to...They tried to cover all music styles with that list that way theres a little of everything on there...

ps...the nfg videos sucked this year....and the new tbs video mite be the WORST video of the year

ive never seen a music video that made me say the words "AMAZING"! ............

and usually blink's worst songs tend to have the best music videos (all the small things, first date, etc.) "do you like my stupid haair , could you guess that i didnt know what to wear?" hahaha

this list is amazing, they chose all of my top 20 videos of the year, in the exact same order....how eerie!! i honestly thought the Yelowcard video was pretty lame...they are suppose to be a punk band or whatever you want to call them and there he is twirling with a girl in tear gas, and placing flowers down the barrels of guns...realllllllllllllll cute!!

that little boy is sooo cute in that video, i feel so bad for him... even though it isnt real or anything

alright so this list doesn't really cover what most of us would consider the best video's of the year but you have to understand that rolling stone is now a "pop culture" magazine and this list best represents the most 'popular' "pop culture" videos of the year...........i agree that "only one" wasn't yellowcard's best video out of the three they released but good for them for getting on that list because they deserve whatever comes their way. I also thought "Always" was one of the better videos of the year and i also loved Coheed's video for "Blood Red Summer" cause i thought it fit the song right...........oh and i thought NFG's videos were original and kick ass this year so everyone can start talking shit about me now!

Derivative, predictable, typical, boring video. I guess Rolling Stone now caters to retards as much as MTV and modern rock radio does. So much for credibility of the press. Although the FIDDLE PLAYER doing a JUMP was waaay siiick.

dear rolling stone,

i will buy one of your magazines when i can differentiate between it and the trl countdown. furthermore, that video was awful, its a great song but terrible video. this list is a total pile of crap, you need to stop posing as the vangard of music when all you do is suck the cock of all pop music that i could easily get on mtv.

im surprised that their copied Brand New video didnt make it.

Those videos had the same creator. The whole lamb thing and anything else that aligned with the video for Sic Transit Gloria were just director's trademarks.

i'm still ticked off Yellowcard didn't do a video for Gifts and Curses, it deserved one.

you kinda have to take rolling stone's lists with a grain of salt. after all, they ARE the same people who claim that jack white is the 17th best guitarist of all time. and anyways, how can you take a list of greatest VIDEOS seriously when numb/encore is on it? that isn't even a video, it's just a taping of a live performance.

what a shitty list

The only good part is when he puts the flowers in the gun barrels, I thought it was funny. "Gifts and Curses" would have been cool or "Believe"

This video was pointless. They butchered the re-inactment(sp?) of an event that i hold close to my heart, where many realtives i will never get to know, died.
