Just curious....

But does anyone listen to underground hip hop? its not normally my genre of choice but some of it is actually good.

examples would be....

immortal technique
army of the pharaohs
hieroglyphics

spread the love for some unknown talent!

haha can i ask why? his flow is pretty good but sometimes over-the-top with the political stuff.

I just think he tries for the shock factor to much, I just never got into him.


I dont like ICP, but MF Doom isnt horrible im not a huge fan though.

Jedi mind tricks, snowgoons, demigodz, the devilz rejects and as you mentioned army of the pharaohs. Thats pretty much all you need. (yes they actually use z's)

listening to jedi minds and pharaohs is pretty much one in the same...both vinnie paz and jus allah...well technically the same haha

Pharaohs is the collaborated version of jmt basically. Jus allah actually went back to jmt for their next album.

Aside from the fact that Vinnie Paz is the weak link in JMT, sure :-p Actually, Celph Titled/Apathy are by far the highlights of that band for me, I rarely listen to AOTP for that reason.

I've been listening to a lot of J-Zone and Aesop Rock.. though personally I prefer 90s hip hop well over underground hip hop. Why bother with the emulaters when you can just listen to the originals?
