Keaton keen on 'Beetlejuice' sequel

The name Tim Burton is more popular now amongst the teenagers then it has ever been, but why not return to try a sequel of an older flick? Michael Keaton is hoping to work with Burton again and no not for a 'Batman' sequel, but for one of the funniest and freshest characters of the 80's 'Beetlejuice'. I for one am all for this idea as I'm sure both Keaton and Burton would not let us down. Scroll down for the rumor that I'm sure we all hope turns out to be more then just that.

Big Fan Boy Reports:

MARK: You think you might work with Tim Burton again?

KEATON: Man I sure hope so. He's great. He's just one of those guys that you just wanna be around that stuff. It's true art.

MARK: Have you guys discussed some ideas on possible films?

KEATON: Well the thing I always wanted to remake, or the thing I always wanted to do, and still do... not remake. I wanna do another BEETLEJUICE. I think there's room to do it, cause there's nothing like it, and there never will be anything like it. But you kind of don't want to mess it up, and the only way to do it is with Tim involved. He doesn't want to direct it. So I talked to him and said "Where do you have time in your life to produce it, and let's find a guy to direct it and write it." I don't how he's gonna do that, or how I'm gonna do it. I'd just make the time to do it. But I'd like to do it. He's original and an artist, and you really can't say that about too many people.

I would see it but I really wasn't that big of fan of the first one. That whole singing thing at the dinner table had to be one of the worst moments in Tim Burtons Filmography, it was just stupid and unnecessary.

i loved the first one, but i dunno how it would come out if burton didnt actually direct it.
