Does anyone know approximate set times and set lists for this? I want to go check this out in Boston, but I would like to know who's opening (I would assume KD, as it's listed as Rachael Yamagata's show) , and how many KD is playing

I actually emailed them earlier today and got a response. Kevin is opening but is only playing for 30 minutes.

You would think they would charge less since it's geared toward the college community. It is a smaller place but the stage isn't high enough to see very well. I also asked them why all their shows are ridiculously overpriced and she wouldn't tell me why.

For example, the Rachel Yamagata/KD show is 25 bucks, which is two bands, no alcohol, and a bunch of kids running the equipment. Or you can go see Rachel Yamagata headline, and 3 other singers play the Paradise next month for 15 bucks. Or see Kevin Devine open for Manchester Orchestra along with a couple other bands for $13 at Harpers Ferry in December.
Or go to both for almost the same price as the Berkley show.

I will not be in attendance at the Cafe 939 show.

Too expensive and KD hasn't played long enough the last few times I've seen him. Weak.

KD only plays 5 songs, no ballgame, cotton crush either. It's still worth it though

i got there late but he did play ballgame in the end. he puts on a good show, his vocals are damn good live, but as usual nowhere near long enough, and everybody was there for rachel. this proved to be a blessing though, i didnt have to worry about kdev fanboys and fangirls, i just walked right up to where he was at the bar and had a brief conversation with him, it was awesome.

as for rachel, her music had good moments of atmosphere and emotional drive, her cello player is awesome, but it had a little too much of that mainstream pop sound to it for me and her lyrics were godawful. shes freaking cute though so that made up for a lot of it lol. it was her birthday.
