What kind of amps do you use for a smaller venue? The one I'm using right now is reaaaaaallllllyy shitty and I've got about $800 to spend on something better. I have some friends who have given me some advice already but I'd like to see what you guys think as well.

If you look hard enough you could probably find just about anything used for that price. What it really comes down to is what kind of tone do you want? And a lot of that is just personal preference. My suggestion would be get to a guitar shop, play a bunch of amps and see what you really like, then look around for deals.
