A friend of mine named Brian Sirgutz (Classic Case manager) recently sent me an e-mail regarding the tragic events that have occurred in Southern Asia. Brian is asking for everybody to come together and aid those who have fell victim to this disaster by donating some money to some non-profit organizations he's listed in the replies. I believe that circumstances such as these require us to put selfish desires aside and help those who are truly suffering. Read the replies for Brian's words.

"As you all know, the news from Asia, Sri Lanka and India has been quite devastating. Just watching what occurred was probably one of the worst thing I've seen since my experience in downtown Manhattan on September 11th, 2001. As a volunteer with the Red Cross on 9/11, I was able to witness how the goodwill of people across the world made a significant difference. Therefore, I am asking for your goodwill.
Anyway, the Network For Good has set up a fund as well as a list of other non-profit funds assisting the relief efforts and are taking donations to assist this crisis. Below is a link for anyone who wants to learn more, donate and help out. They accept donations over $5. I encourage everyone to give something if you can, every little bit helps.

Please forward this email to anyone on your email list who you think might also want to help. When tragedy strikes, most of us want to help, but we are to busy or stressed to be bothered, however, like the Aids epidemic in Africa, we cannot turn our backs on such suffering.
I guess going what we all went through on 9/11 makes a disaster like this and the sudden loss of life all the more real.
Thank you.
On a lighter note...I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and has a happy and healthy New Year!
My warmest wishes to you and yours...
All the best,
Brian Sirgutz"

i donated through amazon. being a starving college kid it wasn't much, but still, a few dollars is more than what billions of people are doing......help if you can......
My dad is looking to donate about 140+ bux, as it is what is in his Paypal account. Anyone know of a place that will accept donations via paypal?
Not trying to sound greedy, I am sure my family will donate to this cause. My parents gave $500 to Red Cross after 9/11. People banding together can make a lot of good for others.
