Pretty boring start to it so far...but, there is a lot of golf ahead. All we really need is 3 solid days of golf from out guys, and we might actually be able to win...though I am expecting a Euro win

Americans will lose again, enoguh said.

Go Europe. Nothing against Americans but I just cant stand pretty much all of the players on the US side. At least those losers Woody Austin and Davis Love arent there though.

preppyak
09/19/08, 06:53 AM
yeah, I gotta say, I do not enjoy watching anyone on the US besides Furyk and Perry...not that I have an affinity for any of the european players either. In general, this is the least excited I've been for it in a while, cause I think even with Tiger 100%, we'd still lose

The Euros are starting to hit some awful shots. I rarely even hit shots as bad as Poulters.

Azinger needs to keep Phil and Anthony together tomorrow for both sessions again.

US looked great today. Up 5 1/2 - 2 1/2 and the Europeans are sitting Sergio after a mediocre round.

Tomorrow's AM pairings:

Poulter/Rose vs Cink/Campbell
Jimenez/McDowell vs Leonard/Mahan
Stenson/Wilson vs Mickelson/Kim
Harrington/Karlsson vs Furyk/Perry

preppyak
09/19/08, 07:37 PM
wow, that last match in the afternoon was incredible. I still cannot be leave on the 17th that they all landed within 10ft.

Been watching it for most of the morning and into the afternoon. At least the US is competitive this year.

preppyak
09/20/08, 12:59 PM
that Holmes/Weekley pairing is entertaining as shit to watch...makes me sad that we didn't see a Perry/Holmes pairing, but those two are doing quite well for themselves

Holmes is crushing drives 375 and hitting second shots on par 5's within 15ft.

jbaseball44
09/20/08, 01:08 PM
Stricker should of made that last putt, you can't give away holes to Garica

jbaseball44
09/20/08, 01:10 PM
Now Perry misses a 5 footer

preppyak
09/20/08, 01:47 PM
no excuse for that Perry/Furyk pairing to lose, that is a solid set-up, both very consistent players.

jbaseball44
09/20/08, 01:53 PM
Agreed. Stricker & Co. have to find a way to beat or at least halve that Garcia match because i figure that was a match that the Euro's felt like they had won before it started

preppyak
09/20/08, 02:30 PM
haha, not sure the announcer wanted to use the phrase "hooker"...but, great shot by Kenny Perry

2 points left for us.

LeftWideOpen
09/21/08, 02:11 PM
make that 1. Holmes comes up huge. Now all Furyk has to do is halve one of the last 2 holes to win his match and clinch it for the US.

LeftWideOpen
09/21/08, 02:18 PM
Furyk halves the 17th hole to win the match!

Champs!

It's Harrington's time to shine!

Thankfully Harrington & Co. are playing pretty bad, most of the US teams look awful so far

Tyler Vagyler

I'm surprised Mickelson and Johnson are playing poorly

jbaseball44
10/01/10, 09:58 AM
I wasn't as in love with that pairing as some other people, but it is certainly surprising. Not sure if Phil has hit a good shot all day

Tyler Vagyler
10/01/10, 10:07 AM
Tiger can't hit the ball....Stricker can't put.

Well with Phil, you never know whats going to happen. But Dustin has been playing pretty consistently this year. Hopefully they both pick it up on the back 9.

jbaseball44
10/01/10, 10:42 AM
Looks like the US guys are starting to play better, Phil hitting good shots and making birdies, Tiger & Stricker have that match back to even

stewart cink was unconscious today. i also really liked the way stricker and tiger started to play before they called it.

Not that I know of, Americans looked pretty bad in the afternoon sessions, thankfully play was called due to darkness.

USA is getting killed today. Hopefully we can get at least one of these last four.

Nice putt, Lefty! Here we go, starting to make a little run.

jbaseball44

Getting worked

jbaseball44
10/03/10, 09:21 AM
This is tough to watch, hopefully they win one match and thankfully singles are tomorrow. I want to see Furyk and Harrington in a match to see how many holes would be won by making bogey.

Lovely win, good play by McDowell to take the win.

jbaseball44
10/04/10, 08:00 AM
Jim Furyk proved himself to be quite worthless, couldn't even manage half a point with Luke Donald. It was also nice to watch Cink choke away that match when McIlroy was trying to give it to him

Tyler Vagyler
10/04/10, 10:08 AM
I didn't get to watch the single matches, how did Tiger play? I know he won and by the score it seems he won fairly easily. But how did he look out there?
