i play volleyball! i was the shortest by at least 5 inches on my schools senior girls team.

To me, height doesn't matter. We have a 5'1" chick on our team... She plays libero and she's pretty damn good. :)

height can be an advantage for front row but if you are a good player it doesnt mattter. i'm the tallest on my team. plus smaller people can, like, THROW themselves on the floor for a ball. they are closer to the ground so its easier(thats what i hear, i wouldnt know)

Yeah, height can always have it's advantages. I'm only 5'8". Sometimes I wish I was taller so I'd have more height to block, but then again, sometimes I'd wish I was slightly shorter so it wouldn't be such a long way down to the floor... LOL

Haha. i was always so afraid of getting on the floor and last year my coach made me go to a diving/rolling camp. it was so hard. i had the worst hip bruises but now i can do it.

I hate rolling around! It hurts. LOL I get some gnarly looking bruises. I got a floor burn on my hip, too. That was a bitch to deal with.

I watch it a lot, these two girls I know play for my school. One of them I went to high school with and the other is this totally rad girl who lives a floor above me. So we go. Also those spandex shorts make any ass look nice.

Haha, that's cool. :) I remember back in junior high volleyball, the coaches wouldn't let us wear spandex. It sucked. Now I can't play without 'em. It's so much more comfortable.

Ive played it my whole life. Grade school vb, club vb for 10 years, high school vb, 1 year of college and i hurt myself. so i coach hs now and play in club again. and of course..watch.

SC0926, that's awesome you've been into volleyball that long! My grade school didn't have volleyball; it kinda sucked because my friends and I would play "Captain" with the volleyballs at recess. What happened to you when you hurt yourself?

haha...its why I watch it when its on TV...the guys team at my school won state gold all 4 years I was there...I think they lost 3 matches total the entire time...or something absurd like that
