I'm sure some of you use Bittorrent to download music, movies and other stuff....
How about the recent shutdown of suprnova.org and lots of other good torrent sites. The MPAA is going crazy, threatening to sue everyone. It seems like most websites are just giving in, since they cant defend or afford to defend their actions. It kind of sucks, a major site I went to that help build up my 60gig music collection basically got shut down thanks to some guy from Fat Wreck Chords.
Torrents used to be the way to go to download anything, but I guess they've gotten too popular and the major players in entertainment are taking notice...Its getting harder and harder to find stuff these days
Oh and I'd like to avoid the whole "piracy vs. paying for it" argument, since I'm not bashing copyrights, I just think it sucks about this recent bittorrent drama...The MPAA has a right to be pissed it just sucks that the last bastion of quality downloading software is going to hell now
P.S. I know that lokitorrent.com is fighting the MPAA and is taking donations for when they go to court (at least thats what they say)
