Halifax (www.halifaxrock.com) is looking for a bass player. They're looking for someone from the LA Area or willing to relocate to it. plus: Bass gear, experience, singing is a plus, good positive attitude, and willing to drop everything for this. You must be able to tour year round. Serious inquiries only, please email bassplayer@halifaxrock.com with: Name, Experience, Pictures, and general info on yourself.

Seriously...what's the classfied for this one read?
"Are you ready to make it big? Hard working band recently signed to national record label seeks bassist. Must be ready to blow up and become well known."
Signing to Drive Thru is pretty much an ideal situation for someone trying to break too...they've got a HUGE dedicated fanbase for the label alone.

Haha. I don't even live very far from L.A., but I'm already in a band, and I can't just drop everything....oh well.

I like this band.
Our guy is going to try out for the slot with our blessing. He'd be a great fit. Good luck!

halifax is a single entity, so it is "halifax is" - much like you'd say "the group is", not "the group are" - even though there's more than one person in it, it's only one group so it's 'is'.

It better not delay the making of their full length.

Mike, the singer of Halifax, wrote and performed all bass lines on the "A Writer's Reference" EP - We are planning on him doing the same for the full length, so this will not delay the full length.

Nice. Thanks Heath. Any news on the target month for the full length or is it still too early to tell? Is it still Spring/Summer 2005 with the inevitable Drive-Thru push back?

hmm, let me say this: if i wasn't in a band already, i'd be their next bassist.

right now, we are predicting an early summer 2005 release - we're trying to pick a producer and then things will be more solid...
