I don't listen to 2/3 of the bands you mentioned.

And no, because I would rather make this website bigger and better then it is, and most record labels fail ... but I wish the best to the guys at PN and hope that we can be a part in helping promote their bands.

Yep, this is why absolutepunk > punknews. And stop bitching about Jason. Without him there would be NO forum to do the bitching, and there would be no site, to have posts, to bitch about.

Oh...and yeah, i listen to what he tells me to listen to....not because im a zombie, but because its actually good. Just because everyone likes what he does doesnt mean he's a "sell-out", but it means that he has good taste.

now's the part when half of the board gives jason a handjob with one hand while they type some anti-tate-hate jargon with the other.

all joking aside, i would make a decent bet that somerset will have something to do with this label.

Right, you changed both after Punknews came to you and asked you to go to those sites directly, since you were leeching the two tables directly from them. And let's not forget about Punknews firewalling your site because you ignored them initially, causing your site to just plain not load [nice programming there, by the way].

And don't try to deny all of this, either. Anyone who was on here the other day saw that the entire new reviews section from Punknews was posted on your right-hand side! You obviously copied the code from us, but [typically] were sloppy.

It's a lot easier to fess up to your mistakes than to try and pretend they never happened. That's the first lesson you'll learn in a Public Relations class, thanks to one Mr. Ivy Lee.

First, site never didn't load, firewalling (as you say it), wouldn't have that effect on our website - especially if we were doing what you say we were (it would simply stop showing the feed, as it's a php include of another file with the parsing code) - second, the other day what happend was that our script just grabbed the wrong code from the database and apparently wasn't caching the file correctly. It was a coding/cache problem that Aubin and I worked out. You act as if this is something covert, or a "cover up" when it's never been any sort of secret that punknews and absolutepunk, and a lot of other websites, use the same release date website database - because, quite simply, it's the best.

And I find it even more comical that you now toss the "us" into your rant, but before pretended to be an "impartial" visitor with no affiliation to another website. Come on man, what's with this shit -- the owner of punknews.org is a nice guy, and someone I get along with on a professional level, why do so many of the little staff minions of that website have to have such a stick up their ass?

Second, the show feed was never ever, ever, taken from punknews because it's grabbed from: http://www.trustkill.com/webfeeds/trustkillshows.php that website, a very simple RSS feed that we parse and push out onto our main page.

Get your facts straight before you start blabbing dude .. and don't give me a lecture on public relations when you spend any part of your day on another person's website talking trash under the guise of a regular visitor. Scott, it's just lame and unprofessional - you'd think you would have better manners now that you work for the big boys over at Alternative Press (it must have eaten you inside to see PN come in 3rd in the readers poll). I figured we were done with this little hatred debacle - I've been over it for months and have continued to plug you, your website, your new company, and your new job. I simply ask that we let bygones be bygones and be professional and courtious in this crazy little online community we have. We can coexist and we can accomplish much more if we work towards similar goals ... I'm saying that I would love to help promote the bands I like on your new label ..

This is all coming from the same person who took potshot after potshot towards me and my personal life last year, on a public forum by posting things like my livejournal or whatever as a news story! You are quite possibly the most immature person I've ever encountered, be it web or in person.

And don't give me this crap, like "It must've eaten you inside to come in third" - that's horseshit. You don't know me, and you don't know how I reacted to that, or if I did at all. I do my job well, and I am a professional at it. Don't you ever, ever question my ethics or integrity -- I have them, you don't.

It was a coding/cache problem that Aubin and I worked out.

Again, horseshit. The only "problem" was that we caught you leeching the feed from us because it was sucking up bandwidth [which we, you know, pay for]. It's not like you made a "mistake" or something; you purposely stole the code from us because it was the easiest thing for you to do. You have this amazing ability to deny everything, it's rather uncanny.

I've been over it for months and have continued to plug you, your website, your new company, and your new job. I simply ask that we let bygones be bygones and be professional and courtious in this crazy little online community we have.

News to me. Last I knew, you were still talking trash about us [and our good friends, Punkrocks.net, and who knows who else] on a somewhat regular basis. And plugging us? Hardly. I never saw one post on here about the tour that Punknews sponsored. And sure, you posted this little blurb about our label launch, but you didn't even bother to link us! Oh, I'm sure you just "forgot."

As for plugging Alternative Press? Gee, do you think that could be because I have a job that you would kill for? Don't try to play innocent here, Jason.

Be professional and courteous? This, from the same guy who insinuated that I was gay, and *then* insinuated that this was sort of bad thing. I'm not, it's not, and you're a douche for thinking so.

I'm saying that I would love to help promote the bands I like on your new label ..

This sounds like blackmail -- if I don't "play nice," we get blacklisted. Classy.

Look, arguing on the internet is pointless, as you'll always change what you say five minutes after you said it [I'm surprised you haven't banned this account yet, as you banned my old one, then lied about saying it was only a temporary ban, and that you reinstated it]. So say whatever you want to say, believe whatever you want to believe. If you have any inclination of continuing this, call me: 815-540-3911. I'll answer it any time, day or night.

Alexa tracks both sites very close to each other, but Alexa's not exactly scientific [it only tracks people who have installed the Alexa toolbar, of which there aren't that many, considering how many people are on the internet each day].

Last I knew, ap.net counts every single load on their front page as a hit, meaning every separate image that loads [main news script, each individual ad, etc] counts as one [so feasibly, every time you go to the main page, there's a half-dozen hits registered or something]. Punknews counts each visit as a hit, not each individual load on the frontpage.

Of course, ap.net may not work like this anymore. It's also possible that it does still; I'd have no real idea, it all depends on what Jason tells us.

Well, besides the obvious that your statement "And let's not forget about Punknews firewalling your site because you ignored them initially" is untrue. But also to show to our readers that they shouldn't judge your website based purely on your crazy ramblings. Because there are some people who work there that I respect a great deal.

PS. I don't want to work for Alt. Press, it's not my dream job. I like the magazine but I don't like working for anyone (period), that's why I started and run my own company. Your claims of "not knowing me" can be re-spat back to you. Apparently you can't get over this whole thing because we're not punk, we're not integrity filled, and some other weird reasons that caused you to start hating me to begin with ... but just know, I have no hard feelings towards you in any way shape or form and am being honest when I say I want to help. Take it as you want ...

I got ONE email from him, I responded saying I re-wrote some stuff and it should have fixed it, he emailed me back saying that what I did didn't work, I wrote back saying I tried again , he wrote back saying it worked. I could even go as far as to check my mail logs to see when the time stamps are, but it was within 10 hours the whole situation was resolved.

I hear basically every record label, and every company out there is trying to hire this kid [referring to Jason Tate] right now, so he must be doing something right! Fuck him though, that seems to be the cool thing to say around here. I bet he laughs all the way to infamy.

I'm actually from Durham, not Beaverton. In between Tigard and Tualatin, not even really remotely close to Beaverton. Pretty sure not even the same area code (I think they're 541), and not the same zip code - that's for sure. I like that you just called out some random Oregon visitor on your website though ... that's funny.

And seriously, you think you should be posting that you want me "head on a fucking stick" ... you are an Alternative Press employee, and you represent them Scott. I know of a few editors that visit this website on a regular basis, you sure you should be calling for my death? That's kinda sick dude.. seriously, it's disturbing.

Least you proved Beaverton != Durham.

And 7 miles, as what, the crow flies? Do you live here? Do you drive around and know how to get places from my house? My highschool was 15 minutes away and I consider that closer then Beaverton (which is probably why I went to Tualatin Highschool and not Beaverton HighSchool out in podunk who knows where).

I don't live in Beaverton, I don't go and talk on your website, and anyone that knows me and has been to my house (I'm waiting for Kelsey or Dave to read this) will laugh their asses off at your assertation that I do.

I'm not saying you do live in Beaverton. In fact, I've never said that. Thanks for putting words in my mouth, though. I'm saying that it's a suburb that's rather close to you, and it's not completely impossible to say that a company in that suburb provides your internet for you [hence, generating the IP address that is located in Beaverton, OR].

I tried being nice, everyone can see that I have been respecting in this whole matter, at least do the same.

It's bad enough that you tell bands "don't let AP post about you" and talk trash about us to all the bands you meet ... cause bro, they call me later and tell me how unprofessional, low and slimy that is. So do you really need to continue this trend? I am saying to you: let's move on, let's be adults, I forgive you, and I am sorry. Accept my apology and let's promote some good music: together. Wrong. I wasn't implying you were the poster from Beaverton. I was stating that you were posting anonymously, and the reason I was able to deduce that is because the IP address from the posts originated from Beaverton, Oregon; a suburb of Portland less than ten miles from your doorstep. 2. I'd love to know which bands you're referring to, so I can address their concerns with them personally. Of course, I'm sure you'll say "I can't tell you that," but that's horseshit. You can't make an unsubstantiated claim like that without offering proof.

At the very least, all Oregonians are laughing at you, at the most, everyone is laughing at you for using this weak ass argument about me being on your website as your "talking point." If your biggest peeve with me for plugging you is that I may or may not also be over at PN.org (which I'm not), whereby you actually ARE over here ... you have a weak stance.

As Frank explained to you:
It comes off as this, I plugged your label and the site you work for ...this pissed you off SO MUCH that you made a username, and bashed me over and over again: for pluggin you.

Sorry, but maybe you should include a clause in any contract with a band you sign saying they are not going to have any plugs on AP.net AT ALL because you deem it a capital offense.

Subversion? You are paranoid.

The comment about record labels failing was in response to someone asking if AP was going to start one, and I explained why I didn't see that in our future business plan. It has nothing to do with you, but as always - you assume everything is subversive and with alterior motives.

Second, we didn't link you because your news submission didn't contain a link and your record label, self admittedly, doesn't have a website to link!!!!

Still not responding to any peace offerings I see, well .. I guess the anger you have pent up against me continues to control you.

Reasons why I don't like you.
1. You charge bands for news.

No we don't anyone can fill out our form and we post it, hell news about your new Record Label was posted .. if we would have made anyone pay for a news post - wouldn't it have been you?

2. You steal/have stolen news from me, that I wrote personally, and when asked politely, wouldn't credit or cite us.

I would assume you're refering to the moneen incident from 3 years ago. I responded politely and asked you why/how you knew you had posted the news first when the time stamp on our page was BEFORE the time stamp on your page. You couldn't answer and instead accused me of stealing it when it was readily apparent that I did not.

3. You fuck[ed] over record labels [Deny it all you want, but I have been told firsthand from someone who you screwed over, so I'll take their word over yours, thanks].

I think you're refering to Fueled By Ramen, who has already emailed you and cleared that matter up and told you not to continue spreading that defamatory statement. I have a very good relationship with all of the labels we work with, and pride myself on maintaining these relationships.

4. You think you're some kind of internet god..

Wow. I am laughing my ass off right now ... (with my red throne, gold sceptor, and lightning bolt charged finger tips)

5. Pop-up ads.

I asked why you dislike me, not the website. But I'll let you in on a little secret: Upgrade Windows to SP2.

6. You somehow get decent people sucked into your web of douchebaggery [see: Roze Harding; also, this Frank guy seems rather nice].

By definition you thereby say I am not decent, which is a matter of opinion. You've never even held a conversation with me Scott. I can't pull any sort of rationality out of this one.

7. You fired Jamison Kane for pointing out how you have no morals or integrity. If you're going to ban a band because of some stupid silly comments they made in interviews, at least stick to your guns and don't take a payoff from their label!

Not a single word of this statement is true.

8. You think homosexuality is somehow wrong.

Okay, I had tried to warn you about continuing this argument, but Scott, how do you know I'm not bi-sexual... or that more than one staff members are? It would then be quite interesting for me to actually think homosexuality is wrong, wouldn't it?

9. You threaten to sue any living thing that may look at you the wrong way.

Eh? Have I ever "threatend to sue" you? You look at me "the wrong way" and have never breathed a word of legal threats towards you. Don't believe everything you read on the internet bub.

10. You banned my old username because I disagreed with you.

I banned your old user name because you weren't following the forum rules.

11. You've done the same to many, many other people for the same reasons.

Actually, yes I have.

12. You pretty much ruined Brand New for me.

Sucks for you.

13. You like Rufio.

You dislike me because of the band's I like? Woah. That's intellegent, classy, and well thought out -- all at the same time.

14. And a lot of other crappy bands.

It's a good thing I have your phone number now, I'll remember to call you next time that I need to decide if it's okay whether or not I like a band.

15. You share the same name as the Weakerthans' drummer [although he spells his last name Tait]. This ruins the Weakerthans for me, too.

Second grade called, they want their mentality back. You had a band ruined because of a common name? Woah. Well, I told my friend I couldn't be friends with him anymore because his name was Scott, so there!

Get a life.

It looks like there's some substance to this conflict and you two have had legitimate problems with each other in the past. But the point is exactly that. It was in the past. You've revived it for absolutely no reason. What's worse, you won't let it go.

The argument itself shouldn't even be taking place right now. You lose because you're the one who took time out of your life to create. Because you're here propagating it, you sacrifice any claim to piety or righteousness you had. You're just an instigater.

You should have stopped posting when Tate pointed out a valid reason for not linking you and making his rate-of-success comment.

You're still here, though, getting your ass handed to you because you've created an argument you can't win.

This is interesting:

No we don't anyone can fill out our form and we post it, hell news about your new Record Label was posted .. if we would have made anyone pay for a news post - wouldn't it have been you?

I would assume you're refering to the moneen incident from 3 years ago. I responded politely and asked you why/how you knew you had posted the news first when the time stamp on our page was BEFORE the time stamp on your page. You couldn't answer and instead accused me of stealing it when it was readily apparent that I did not.

I think you're refering to Fueled By Ramen, who has already emailed you and cleared that matter up and told you not to continue spreading that defamatory statement. I have a very good relationship with all of the labels we work with, and pride myself on maintaining these relationships.

Wow. I am laughing my ass off right now ... (with my red throne, gold sceptor, and lightning bolt charged finger tips)

I asked why you dislike me, not the website. But I'll let you in on a little secret: Upgrade Windows to SP2.

By definition you thereby say I am not decent, which is a matter of opinion. You've never even held a conversation with me Scott. I can't pull any sort of rationality out of this one.

Not a single word of this statement is true.

Okay, I had tried to warn you about continuing this argument, but Scott, how do you know I'm not bi-sexual... or that more than one staff members are? It would then be quite interesting for me to actually think homosexuality is wrong, wouldn't it?

Eh? Have I ever "threatend to sue" you? You look at me "the wrong way" and have never breathed a word of legal threats towards you. Don't believe everything you read on the internet bub.

I banned your old user name because you weren't following the forum rules.

Actually, yes I have.

Sucks for you.

You dislike me because of the band's I like? Woah. That's intellegent, classy, and well thought out -- all at the same time.

It's a good thing I have your phone number now, I'll remember to call you next time that I need to decide if it's okay whether or not I like a band.

Second grade called, they want their mentality back. You had a band ruined because of a common name? Woah. Well, I told my friend I couldn't be friends with him anymore because his name was Scott, so there!

I don't know where you get this, from my "online attitude"?

It depresses me that you're in college, yet can't punctuate sentences correctly and can't tell the difference between your and you're.

Something tells me you're a business major, as all the business majors at my college were as lazy/stupid [take your pick] as that, too.

Maybe it's because I'm the son of an English teacher, but, fuck: People need to have a grasp on the English language before entering college.

Also, Scott Weber just spent the past half-hour talking to me, and it was very pleasant. Two down, a gazillion more staffers to go... I feel like I'm Michael Moore trying to score an interview with the head of GM or something.

Lameness. That's what I'm reading here. Of course, I'm coming here for the first time, drawn over by the whole drama from Punknews.org.

1. Clearly Tate wants this to continue, because he keeps answering. Anyone who's spent more than 15 minutes in an on-line argument knows the easiest way to stop it is to walk away- ESPECIALLY when you're the person who runs the site. Heck, you can just edit it all later on.

2. That news story about PN's record label is spectacularly drab. If I were connected to them as a staff member I'd come over and bitch about it too. Are you suggesting you couldn't figure out a link for an outfit called "punknews.org"? THAT'S one of the funniest things I've seen in this whole thread.

3. Winning an argument on-line is like winning the Special Olympics- y'all know the rest. This one is still a draw, since Tate's admitting a lot of Scott's critiques are true, piece by piece. And his willful ignorance of the substance of some of Scott's points and concentration on irrelevant issues is classic Debate Club 101. It may win some points with people skimming a lot of this crap, but I'm someone who likes honesty and upfront answers, not "I don't live in Beaverfuck, OR" over and over again in response to a point that never suggested that you did. That's insulting our intelligence.

4. Decent grammar is really important, even on-line. I'm not perfect either, but at least I admit when my grammar is wrong OR I admit when my correction of someone's correction is wrong. Scott's right about the use of the colon.

5. Finally, Tate's gotten enough flak over the past months for a website to be set up at http://www.fuckabsolutepunk.net . Smoke doesn't always equal fire, but there's no www.fuckpunknews.org anywhere- if there is I'd be the first to visit!

Yours, Jesse Luscious

You win the award for least necessary post of the night for:

1. Your arbitraty declaration of Scott as the winner in our grammatical argument.
2. Dissemination of useless, already available information.
3. Failure to approach the fact that he sexually harassed a friend of mine.
4. Numbering the points to your argument like a five year-old submitting a Christmas list.

Remember back when you interviewed my band in September 2003? Remember how we had a chick filling in for us at keys? Yeah, you remember her. I know you do.

Remember all those unwanted sexual advances you made? How you wanted her to spend the night at your place because 'my bed sure beats sleeping in the van,'?

Well, now everyone else remembers them, too. Congratulations. Now people can see you for the slimey fuck you really are.

Sorry, man. You asked for it.

I need more character development. It's hard for me to care when I don't know what's there. Who was this girl, I don't mean who is she, I mean what is this girl trying to say? What are her motivations? How did they change as the story progressed? This just isn't doing it for me right now.

Instructions: Spin the wheel. If the censored dick lands on an album, you must suck that band's cock incessantly throughout the day. Let me just say that someone over here back a few months ago stole a setlist that I made about a certain Green Day show and it was up in the news the next day. I knew it because the post was made WORD FOR WORD and included my spelling mistakes!

If there is one piece of credability, its to cite all sources on where you get the news or information, not just submit it. Think about it.

How bad does this this look (mind you these are fake made up articles):

"Thrice will be doing a secret show on 1/6 at the Chain reaction
Submitted by John"

"A Fight between Rufio and Copeland happened last night at their show in Boise. Supposedly it occured when.......
Submitted by Dawn"

Compared to this:

"There is rumor of a secret show by Thrice at the Chain Reaction on 1/6."
Source: thrice messageboard
Submitted by John

"A Fight between Rufio and Copeland happened last night at their show in Boise. Supposedly it occured when.......
Source: Statement by Rufio found at www..rufiomusic.com
Submitted by: Dawn

Its not hard to put where the source is from. If it is a rumor, then state "RUMOR" if its a source unknown, or do a little research before it goes up.

It's admirable that Jason admitted to leeching bandwidth off of other sites, but this is not the first, and will not be the last time.

Jason, if you REALLY want to win this argument, which obviously you REALLY do, here's what you should do:

1. Before setting up a "scraping" php script on your site, contact the site admin and ask if it's okay. Offer some sort of peace settlement, i.e. a banner below where the script writes to, if they don't reply, don't assume it's a "yes." If they say no, then honor their wishes.

2. Credit sources such as other message boards, other band sites, etc. etc. as the poster above just advised, this could be a good situation for both sides. Links lead to cross promotion and cross promotion leads to more people knowing about your site.

If these two suggestions were followed through (not just by you, but by your entire staff) then maybe people wouldn't get pissed at you [although obviously some people will, but the number will be considerably less.]

Thank you for your time.

Love dearest,

I can't believe I'm replying to this and NOT watching football (GO STEELERS!)

I was mentioned in this thread by someone and that's what really matters.

Anyways, here's what I have to say...

Jason, this tiff stemmed from you standing behind your biggest fault. Grab your Say Anything record and put on the last track, just for the first few seconds. Just as the lyrics "Admit It" fill the air waves, pause the song and pause your attitude.

All Scott asked of you was to admit to directly copying the code from Punknews.org. You can continue to deny it based on accidents in coding and the such, but the we saw our material on your website! That's pretty hard to sneak out of.

Many are shouting out and calling Scott the immature one in this online debate, but if Jason would have simply acknowledge and apologized right here to him, then this thread would not be this long.

Stop.

Jason before you go ranting about how you did solve the problem with Aubin, stop and breathe again.

You did not apologize to Scott -- right here in this thread infront of your fan club.

Instead you continued to miss the key points brought up and try to put the argument in a perspective that would favor you, one you could easily escape from. Until you were backed into another corner of course.

Will you ever show signs of professionalism?

You've got a good thing on your hands. Absolutepunk.net is great for the kids, however you behave just like a tiny little 15 year old kid and your immaturity will eventually stunt this website.

Not to mention the main pull of your website is music that was popular during the first half of this decade.

Pop-Punk is the music that has 'kept you breathing' and it is not nearly as popular as it once was. Sure you have your favorite bands like Yellowcard, the Used, Say Anything, etc. all doing really well, but it is by no means the latest fad in music anymore.

That sound is out, Metal is once again coming from the ashes and is prepping its next take over of the airwaves. Not to mention the surge in popularity of Indie rock again.

Music trends change and with those certain aspects that follow the scenes die as well. AP.net is the tabloid of music for little kids and shows little signs of prosperity in the future...especially when lead by such a bullheaded leader.

Punknews.org on the other hand spans away from simply a contemporary website and not only reflects on how rock 'n roll's past has shaped the present, but the contributors who have a much greater grasp of music than yourself can prep for the future and will leave PNdotO a much more successful website in future.

This all leads to how Punknews Records will be a success. Scott has an amazing talent when it comes to understanding music and knowing what people like to hear (Somerset, Zutons, Motion City Soundtrack, etc). Not only that but Aubin and Adam are two of the greatest partners he could ask for in operating a business. On top of that those three fine gentlemen know they have the likes of many other staff members, countless contributors, and the industry on their side.

The bottom line is, Jason, just fess up to your shortcomings. You might look like an asshole for a few minutes, but your users are young and will not hold too much of a grudge before they go back to polishing your shoes. Those few seconds of embarassment, will eventually grant you an uncalculated amount of respect....Unfortunately, you will never gain and ounce of that from me.

Now I've got to go wave my Terrible Towel, ta ta!

P.S. -- Even as this argument has reached an uneccesary 10+ pages Punknews.org STILL has not received a link!

Dude, there is no alleged harassment. I have no idea who or what this guy is talking about. Notice he hasn't even said what band he's in. If you click here:
http://www.punknews.org/search.php?min=40&type=stories&category=1
You'll see all the archived Punknews.org interviews. That page alone stretches from March 2003 the end of October, 2003. The only interview that ran in September or October with my name on it was the chat transcript from the Hey Mercedes online chat. I conducted no other interviews at that time.

A bunch? I listed two.

Reasons why I don't like you.
1. You charge bands for news.
2. You steal/have stolen news from me, that I wrote personally, and when asked politely, wouldn't credit or cite us.
3. You fuck[ed] over record labels [Deny it all you want, but I have been told firsthand from someone who you screwed over, so I'll take their word over yours, thanks].
4. You think you're some kind of internet god.
5. Pop-up ads.
6. You somehow get decent people sucked into your web of douchebaggery [see: Roze Harding; also, this Frank guy seems rather nice].
7. You fired Jamison Kane for pointing out how you have no morals or integrity. If you're going to ban a band because of some stupid silly comments they made in interviews, at least stick to your guns and don't take a payoff from their label!
8. You think homosexuality is somehow wrong.
9. You threaten to sue any living thing that may look at you the wrong way.
10. You banned my old username because I disagreed with you.
11. You've done the same to many, many other people for the same reasons.
12. You pretty much ruined Brand New for me.
13. You like Rufio.
14. And a lot of other crappy bands.
15. You share the same name as the Weakerthans' drummer [although he spells his last name Tait]. This ruins the Weakerthans for me, too.
16. You think you're better than everyone else.
17. You never, ever, ever back your shittalking up [my phone still hasn't gotten a call from you, Jason].
18. If there's 18 points someone makes in a post, and 17 of them prove you wrong and 1 is kinda sketchy, you'll address the one, instead of the other 17.

I could go on forever, but let's start with this.

hahahahhahahahaha

To say poor Tate was owned would be an understatement.

You did forget to mention how Tate threatened to sue the ataris message board after people were calling him a tool and continued to laugh at him after he threatened to never promote them again. He also stole an mp3 of so long astoria that was still linked to some kid's website and crashed his website.

Of course, he has denied this(much like everything else) but the moderators of that site are well aware of the truth and I believe those emails have been posted on the board before as many people who post there are aware of this. I'm not sure what happened to that kid after his bandwith was swiped from this site but I remember it happening as they linked a picture of poor old Tate to the stolen mp3.

And I do feel bad for some of the decent people who work here. I have a ton of respect for what Jamison did. I would've done the same as well and wouldn't want to have any contact with people who were covering up/not being truthful about the situation. Integrity is priceless.

Ok, first of all, I dont care about this thread, the people in it, or their silly little drama at all.
However, your picture irritated me and I've come to the conclusion that you are a moron. Sadly, the time you spent using pre-formed shapes, copying and pasting, and using the "text" and "fill" tools" could have been much better spent with you attempting suicide. (I doubt you are intelligent enough to be successful. Please, keep trying).

You probably consider yourself funny and clever. That is hardly the case. Firstly, since your masterpiece couldn't stand on its own merits, you decided to throw in words like "dick" and "cock" multiple times. That sounds like a personal problem. Got something on your mind?

Secondly, the inclusion of the Say Anything album is completely unwarranted. Just because you fail to recognize the genius of Max Bemis and co. do not include them in your dreadful interpretation of how AbsolutePunk chooses its news postings.

Thirdly, you really need to reevaluate where your life is headed if you felt the need to go make that drawing and add the accompanying text. The simple fact that you did that (and are taking credit for it) is depressing (this is your cue to call me 'emo' and then bash me for it in your next reply). The only reason I am even taking the time to respond is to help prevent future occurences.

In summary, you are not funny, clever, or any other adjective with a positive connotation. You also have an obsession with vulgar synonyms for penis. If you don't like the way this site chooses news, why are you here? Are you trying to convince people to jump ship with you and go live in a land of MS Paint and shitty ideas? Also, Say Anything is better than your entire existence, and I hope their music never graces your ears again.

Dear lord, both of you are mature adults, though neiether of you will say the same about the other.

Scott, You know what? It's a new year. Out with the old, in with the new. Accept his apology, take the $5 he offered in paypal, and pick up a used CD with the cash. Allow Jason's money to be used to have one more group be listened to, and one more artist's message get heard. I'm sure neither of you can argue with that.

Jason, you probably shouldn't have leeched punknews.org stuff a few years ago. It happened. Let bygones be bygones, and work with the newly spawned punknews.org records (Though I personally believe it should be Triumverate records, as per my suggestion) to cover their artists fairly and without bias.

We don't need more hate, ill-will and dischord in our scene. We need positivity, unity and a real commitment to working together.

So, in honor of the new year, why don't you two stop baiting each other and continue doing your websites and scenes proud?

To paraphrase the Gorilla Biscuits, start today.

By the way, I'm a punknews poster, but I love punk rock too much to see a gargantuan amount of energy being spent on animosity.
