Looks as if i get to post the first recommendations of 2005!
Arsnova (http://www.purevolume.com/arsnova) - This band definitely makes some beautiful music. It’s got the sound of The Postal Service, Radiohead, and Onelinedrawing all wrapped up in one band. They just put some of their demos up on their purevolume page. I would check em out.
The Smiths - In my eyes they were the best band of the 80’s. That’s all I have to say.
Sondre Lerche (http://www.sondrelerche.com/) - I have only listened to his first album, but have absolutely fallen in love with it. I hear is second album is just as good; if anyone else has listened to it, tell me what you think.
Weezer (http://www.weezer.com) - I decided to go old school on this one. I had been driving around all week listening to Pinkerton. I am excited to hear what their new stuff is going to sound like.
