always thought of them as a fun little epic metal band.
super interested in how they sound without the telestai influence.

I Am Ghost is metal now?

in the looses sense of the term that what i would call them. big epic guitars with double bass and driving bass and the dudes voice and style is pretty much a half as powerfull dio. i can take it you either dont listen to this band on the reg or your just shooting off the hip. but if you dont mind a bunch of dudes who worry about their hair or wear eyeliner then you can get some good riffs out of their last album.

No, I just remember them as the post-hardcore band with some female vocals and a violin.

I've just never heard anyone call them a metal band before.

were getting down to nitpicking on genres but i consider post hardcore bands like the refused. glassjaw, at the drive in, drive like jehu, fugazi, and mewithoutyou.

but i would say they fit more into like adventure metal. or pop metal. cant see any hardcore basis to the band.

i just want to hear the damn thing and get an opinon.

torrents are being dumb with it and wont get more then 4.5% downloaded out of any of the big sources.

used to saying the refused for some reason. must be an oregon thing. i add the to the begining of alot of things and put s at the end when not needed. but thanks for pointing that out in front of everyone.

I consider there two be two completely different 'post-hardcore' genres. Stuff like Refused, and then things that have come from the scene since 2003-ish.

Adventure metal? Absurdity. Alternative metal seems more like it.

...why am I talking about I Am Ghost? I haven't listened to them since I downloaded their songs from free off of Purevolume when they first came out. So maybe they've changed more than what I'm thinking.

It's all good, though.

It's actually not. Just once it hits 2 A.M. I like to venture out and talk about anything.

That being said, I'm giving this thread way too much attention.

Jeopardy title card: This "band" never made any music of note, and will never be anything more than a less-than-average scene screamo act.

Jeopardy answer: Who is I Am Ghost?

I wagered a lot on that one. Win for me.

Hahaha, I'm sorry if you think I'm a dick, but it was pretty dumb. An extremely influential band should not be fucked over by having a dumb name, lol.

LOL @ "Must be an Oregon thing."

Yes, Oregon is noted for adding "THE" in front of singular words. DUH, EVERYONE KNOWS THAT GUYS!

I just heard it...I donīt know, it's good but itīs really missing the violin player, and her voice of course.

I think that was the only "special" thing about IAG.

Chris Fallon

Violin player?!

I'm not saying they were "unique" because of that...I'm just saying that it was kind of the "highlight" of the band.

Plus, all the vampire/death stuff is kinda overused...and stupid.
