I think either Under the Table and Dreaming or Crash would be a good place to start. Before These Crowded Streets has more of a darker feel, so hold off listening to that for now. In my opinion, those are their three best albums.

I don't know how much longer they're going to be a band. I don't think they can catch Phish, unless you include all of their Live Trax volumes too.
